You wake up on August 27 or 28 depending where you live, you are hyped - you get on your computer and login to WoW, and something is missing.
Where there used to be a drop down for a classic wow, and classic beta - now sides nothing but “WoW” and “PTR”
In a frenzy you launch discord, and your wow classic guild discord is gone, you pm your friends and say “what happened to the guild, to classic wow?”
But your friends have no idea what you are talking about. “One sec” your friend says, as DBM auto-reply tells you he’s fighting Heroic Some-boss-or-another.
He hates retail wow.
It was never real. It was all a fever dream. You thought you wanted it, but you didn’t.
I would probably give in and try a pserver. I had heard about them for so long and was considering doing it when Classic was announced so I decided to wait for the real thing.
Also, I think it’s the 26th and 27th. Not sure why the 27th seems like the date being said everywhere. Blizzard is US i thought, and it should be the 26th here.
Figure it was a great dream while it was lasted, then Uninstall the Blizzard Launcher (and any games downloaded) and decide which Steam title I’m in the mood to play.
