you can go ahead and earn them. casually, at your own pace. Normal mode is forgiving.

Normal raiding isn’t “top 1%”.

Not even top 10%.

Normal is casual, lol

Welfare gear is typically more or less the starting point of gear prior to raiding, so that part shouldn’t be an issue. They’ll mostly care about you having at least one legendary, and not being at zero renown/not having conduits.

I wouldn’t mind it being normal or higher, if the mount were still obtainable next expansion.

I feel like people have long forgotten that the current normal is the Flex mode introduced in MoP that was literally stated to be for friends and family who can’t coordinate or play together all the time. It’s extremely casual.

Yeah, and this new fated thing should be even easier because short tier and swapping raids.

Even worse than not being interested in playing the game
they are willing to pay extra money to not play the game

It will never cease to amaze me that this “OMG BLIZZ HATES CASUALS!!!” nonsense has gotten to the point where people are pretending that normal raiding somehow among the 1%. It’s absurd.

One thing I miss about Flex though was it was split into Wings like LFR. I wish Blizz would go back to that design. It was nice being able to pop in and out for a few Bosses at a time.

This stuff seems really easy considering most of it is just handed to you. I knew normal wasn’t gonna be a huge hurdle but I was honestly expecting more than “the bare minimum amount of effort”.

I should even get my 2pc set bonus on my mage on Tuesday since I have an army of alts I can throw at the ZM world boss to get like 500 sandworn relics at once.

This is such a dumb take.

“Not interested in playing the game.”

This is an MMORPG. Just because someone doesn’t partake in the particular activity YOU partake in, doesn’t mean they “don’t play the game”.

Some folks want to spend $15 a month a roleplaying a Night Elf druid every single second they are logged into Azeroth. Are they not “playing the game”? Please, go ahead, explain to me how a roleplayer who has zero interest in raiding is not playing a Roleplaying game.

So many folks on these forums lack basic empathy to put themselves in others shoes it’s insane.

If a person has zero interest in raiding, why should they feel entitled to raid rewards?

If you want a “log in and get it” sort of thing, just wait for the inevitable Dragonflight pre-launch event. I’m sure there will be something there.

Okay, they don’t want to raid, fine. Then they don’t get raid rewards.

That’d be fine and dandy, but I’m questioning the decision to put a mount that was originally in the community poll, behind a raid requirement.

So
they were fine giving it to folks for free just like the tree. But now this one is different? If the cat won, we’d all have the cat for free. So therefore, they were willing to give all of those mounts to folks for free. So they didn’t consider any of those mounts a raid reward.

Is it really they are increasing ilvl rewards and adding affixes to them

You’ve got to remember that this tier is SHORT and they’ll be having us do three tiers worth of raid, so obviously it can’t be the average/normal difficulty, especially what with the raids swapping each wait which makes prog harder.

Why does that matter? The book mount that was from the poll requires you to complete all 7 unique mage tower challenges. I can pretty much guarantee that doing that is harder than these raids will be.

Yes, they were happy giving it to people for free. But it didn’t win the poll. So everyone got the tree.
