You can look on the minimap and try to find them that way, press M for the dungeon map. Then you can click on the little arrow icons on the map to see other sections of the dungeon, in case the dots representing the players aren’t visible there.
You could also ask “hi where are you guys?” And maybe someone would help
Also, since you are a hunter, remember you can jump, use your mouse to spin 180 degrees, and disengage in the air to move forward faster
For me if someone says they are lost I go back to the person and guide them through the dungeon. I understand when no one talks what should you do. Your decision makes sense.
That’s true if you are a rogue you can just do pickpocketing in a lot of these dungeons and pick up some free gold/stuff while waiting for the speedrunner to oneshot the rest.
If you’re replying to Jerauld, current dungeons have the option of queuing as a “follower.” These have a group of 4 … let’s say automated, because they’re definitely not artificially intelligent… NPCs that will essentially run the dungeon for you with you pulling. But, I wager your complaint was for a timewalk, which don’t have the feature available. Sadly, that’s the issue with timewalking - the average player has seen the content hundreds of times, but new or returning ones get literally left behind.
Oh sorry, that isn’t available to most of the game yet.
Only in Dragonflight and The War Within they introduced NPC party that plays through normal dungeons with you. If you’re a DPS for example it will automatically fill a tank, healer, and 2 other DPS NPCs to go with you. They can guide you through dungeons like a tutorial mode, let you experience the dungeon by yourself.
Simple… I just do the dungeon with them… not every dungeon has to be a social event… if you are queuing for dungeons, you are assumed to be of the understanding that not everyone you meet in a dungeon will have a desire to socialize. Queued content was actually created for the anti-social members of the community, as a means to get them to engage in social content. They will engage, but it doesn’t mean that they have to be social while doing so…
Well, I just did another couple groups. Went fine. I was able to keep up. But just now, I did a group, and they disappeared. I ran as fast as I could with the focus, but I couldn’t keep up. I got lost. And then without warning, I got booted or ‘left the instance’ without any input on my part.
“I’m pretty sure most people sign up for dungeons to get gear, not socialize with randos they will likely never seen again.”
I don’t give a crap about socializing in this context. I care about being able to complete the dungeon. How can I complete a dungeon if everyone is able to run way faster than me, and they there is a fork in the road: do I take fork A or fork B? I take a guess. That doesn’t work, and I end up further from the group than if I had taken the other fork. So I run back, but now, I’m so far behind, that they have basically completed the dungeon without me, and I get booted and penalized for 30 minutes by not being able to re-queue for a dungeon.
