You need to explain to me why I was banned

Just the same as you.

Just the same as you.

Correct. Where exactly did I suggest otherwise?

I simply stated they can look into filing those request, not that they should or it was warranted etc

Show us where the players realm name, address, date of birth etc was identifiable merely by asking a question on a a public forum under a character name, and a Blizzard employee providing clarification that the OP was asking for.

We’ll be waiting…

Those requests would not contain details from an account action.

They can, but the purpose of this forum is to try and provide valid assistance to people who come here looking for it. What you suggested has no bearing on the OP’s issue or any issue at all related to any post in this thread. It is right there on par with the people who think trying to gather enough support for a class action lawsuit when maintenance runs over by some hours is a good idea.

I can appreciate wanting to assist OP, but neither of those acts or agencies have any bearing on this. That is a fact.

OP, you’ve got your answer you started here for. Please do appeal your suspension if you feel it was in error. You are allowed to appeal and appeal again until you’re warned that no more appeals will be accepted. You’re not limited to a single appeal. Even if your appeals go beyond the time of your sanction, it is always best to try and follow through with your appeals, if only to get the black mark against your account removed. I do sincerely wish you luck with your appeal.

Oh please… Seriously?

Get over yourself.

Suspension.

I’m still genuinely curious as to your reasoning for how.

A ban reason does not fit the criteria for personally-identifiable information in any situation that I can think of.

Were actualy not allowed to discuss account actions for this very reason.

That’s the thing though. While it is technically against the rules to discuss account sanctions, there is a little leeway given here on this particular forum for the sake of education. And the moment the thread devolved into discussion, your post in particular that was flagged, it crossed the threshold of what is allowable. So your post was flagged because it broke the rules. It’s not mass flagging, it’s not false flagging. It’s not even anything personal.

Sanctions and account actions are not allowed to be discussed on the forums. What happens between Blizzard and the account holder - it is between you two and only you two. A little grace is given, and you see where this thread is now. For every handful of people who come here, ask and are helped to understand something about the account action - there is then a thread like this that ballooned out when it really shouldn’t have.

If you have some discontent about how Blizzard does their thing, the best thing you can do is make that known by filling out the survey that you’ll be given when your appeal ticket is resolved.

I said nothing of the sort.

You were involved. I never claimed you were the instigator, nor a supporter - you were involved.

In a case like this, it doesn’t matter.

As many have already noted, THIS is precisely why we don’t often delve into details here. This is a public forum. You asked in a public forum. You got a public answer as benignly as I could manage.

I do believe this one has run it’s course.
