You must use Ventrilo

Not team speak? Sure was fun trying to figure out calls in raids when everyone sounded like a robot.

seething zoomers

Yeah, I don’t doubt it, but there were a number of Ventrilo features that I haven’t found replicated anywhere else later. Things went backward after it wasn’t as popular.

So proto-hipsters?

… college students…eeeew.

Or be the guy with a hot mike that uses the bathroom VERY LOUDLY.

That’s your choice. Recruiting is going to be a whole lot of fun for you.

Eat my wooden bum

Discord is alright, but I do kind of miss the leanness and simplicity of Ventrilo, Teamspeak, or even OG Skype… Discord is a total whale in comparison.

A surprising number of us played on Macs back then. I played on an iMac G5 that I had bought with money earned from doing web design work. Felt kingly playing on its 20” 1680x1050 widescreen LCD when my high school buddies were mostly using 15” 1024x768 CRTs.

This refers to the band right? One of the best.

If we’re going by this logic then since there was no BNet friends system I require everyone to add me on XFire. Oh wait…

Can you still spam packets at people in the VoIP?

No, Ventrilo is a stupid idea.

I’ll make my group calls in Skype, thank you very much.

Alright, but I’m going to communicate solely through a duke nukem soundboard.

Better be using windows XP then.

NO changes.

I used Team Speak back in the day.

You joke, but my first experiences with one guild were “Hey join our party line Skype call”.

Are you going to find a CRT monitor too and lower the resolution, get rid of naga mouse (or any with extra keys), go but the 20$ student chair you used to have(not specifically the op).
IF you go, go all the way.
I hope this is thread is a joke but since it wont matter to me, good luck.

have fun with that.
