less time on forums, more time playing game
stop trolling
190 prot pally with BiS leggo no less⌠thatâs a yikes, lol
literally 90% of the people asking for more challenging content are scrubs not even playing the game
i never stepped in heroic
i cleared it 185
sounds like a player issue tbh
and yet you post on an altâŚ
âoh ya my alt cleared layer 8 easy with 150 ilvlâ
I can do it too!
Yeah itâll be fun for 2 weeks like island expeditions and then everyone will hate the mindless task.
This is not how you make content.
and if/when that happens⌠wouldnât you want the content to be quick and easy so you can get it over with?
No I want hard content I have to strive for, even if it takes months.
Then I accomplish something interesting by doing it.
Making mindless content is idiotic and shortsighted.
thats you⌠the 1%⌠that not what 99% of the playerbase wantsâŚ
do you know what happens when you cater to the 1%? ask Wildstar
oh waitâŚ
look up [Cutè] be paladin
does it look like i step in heroic?
put the work in and stop crying you dont even need to do 10âs 5-7 m+ and you can just jump right in
if you cant do those you have no business being on layer 8 in first place
the gain in ashe between 8 and 5 is so little its not worth the time or effort so yes it was actually ment for a little spicy challenge if people were up for it
Funny how literally every competitive game is balanced around the top players, not the scrubs.
Blizzard caters to scrubs, and so they have to hide their sub numbers to investors.
Make challenging and deep gameplay and players come. Make mindless content and people will come for a few weeks and then drop their sub.
You have a serious lack of imagination and understanding of game design.
thatâs what endless is for⌠when it comes out.
it was a flat nerf across the board the nerfs will be in the twisted too stop with this endless garbage
then you guys will actually jump in there and get it nerf too because it too hard and you wan a mount for the maw
where do people like you draw the line in having things given to you?because we move the goal post everytime EVERY XPAC
funny how itâs not⌠at all.
do you know why? allow me to enlighten you. subs = money = profit.
businesses like profit⌠businesses NEED profit.
do you know what happens when you cater to the 1%?
you get 1% of the market shareâŚ
= bad business⌠= dead business⌠ask wildstar
If it was designed for you to like and not to be a weekly chore, they wouldnât have nerfed it.
They dropped the ball with Torghast by making it the only way to obtain soul ash, making soul ash a weekly cap, gating the release of them and then adding no other rewards to this system for everyoneâs time.
If they didnât have a specific progression currency tied to this, they probably couldâve gotten away with making it a more interesting feature with prestigious rewards instead (mounts, pets, xmog).
But I guess thatâs coming with the Twisting Corridors. So whatever this is now isnât what weâre supposed to enjoy for a challenge, itâs another weekly chore.
Torghast is an amazing feature with an amazing potential, but like everything else in the game, their visions are shortsighted because theyâre stubborn and have no idea what garners their playerâs interest, and what people do because they feel like they have to do it.
Something tells me that when the challenging mode comes out people are going to complain about that being too hard too.
Hopefully the complaints wonât be justified, because theyâll figure out how to make it worth our time to push. Thatâs my hope, at any rate.
A justified challenge to me is the feeling of our time being well spent, even when itâs not a complete success. You donât need to clear every raid boss to get loot in a raid, for example. You donât need to beat the timer in a M+ to get the rewardâŚ
The all-or-nothing approach with something as uninteresting as a bit more currency isnât enough allure to make me want to allocate time into this systemâs progression over any other systemâs progression. Maybe itâs just me, but thatâs been my big issue with this thing being too difficult.
Itâs not worth my time to be that difficult, but I still need the crap that comes out of it for the other stuff I do.
Getting into a state of âflowâ is generally seen as the ideal state you want the player to be in.
Flow state is ideally a balance of challenge and ability.
If something is too hard people will get frustrated and quit. If something is too easy people will get bored.
What having multiple layers solved was allowing people to do what best fit their ability and gear.
What Blizzard did was remove any challenge for everyone so that the worst of the worst could do the âhardestâ level. Thereby making it accessible to everyone. They prioritized accessibility over good gameplay.
The last time they did this majorly was Cata and was the start of the decline of WoW (if you base it off subscribers). Not saying that alone did it, but it was a factor.
Having another optional tower called twisting corridors doesnât solve the problem because the reward system is different, thereby making it a different thing.
You still have to spend an hour or so slogging through Torghast for soul ash every week. Itâs now a punishment for those of us whom had reasonable gear and ability because it lacks any challenge, instead of a rewarding experience you had to strive to get better at and climb to higher levels, with better rewards.
Now you just get the best rewards for showing up.
Yes it was. But no one here is asking for that again. Not that these ones are much better.
thanks for the changes blizzard. i owe you one.
now to get my legendaries!
