You remember doing a quest that required you take toilet paper to a guy pooping in an outhouse.
you remember never completing all the robot chicken quests because they were IMPOSSIBLE by yourself.
Wasn’t it silk? I thought he wanted 20 silk. For… reasons.
When you remember spending hours looking for some guy’s dead wife only to find her just off the road in a camp…
When you remember having to restock ammo on your Hunter every time you make it back to town.
You know all the best places to camp out for half an hour at a time to level up your rogue lockpicking.
You remember having a keyring.
When you had spent the last week grinding Yeti in Feralas because you’d been over level 40 for two weeks now and still didn’t have your mount.
When you wasted money buying white items from vendors
When you remember begging for a keyring because all those keys were filling up your limited bag space.
And a quiver…
And getting to unreachable places that you can just fly to now.
You get excited for that chest piece or weapon to finally drop.
Stats had actual weight and everything was considered. So something as small as a neck piece upgrade was well worth venturing out to a dungeon or go do some bgs to get marks to buy gear from the PvP vendors respective to each faction.
You kept extending that raid lockout until all 40 players on your servers who were geared enough for Molten Core were available.
and you know that the experience you thought you had really makes you noob-esque because you don’t remember any of those things (that’s me!)
Or Basilisks in STV
You resub after a break and your account status says veteran.
When you had to get attuned for raids or have keys to enter dungeons.
You had to complete quests on your shaman for each element before you were able to use that totem.
When you had to farm soul shards on your lock.
Also the key ring. RIP key ring. I miss having a collection of keys.
When you used to actually make gold porting people around.
