You know what. Remove it

Im talking about Divine toll for holy paladins. Remove it. Im so over this. Now that i am pushing higher keys 6 to 10s, the brokeness of DT it’s noticeable. Crossing my fingers and hoping it will work is just so stressful healing these dungeons. Even when my group is all melee too. Just remove it. Im tired.

I am new to healing Holy Paladin, but I also find Divine Toll to be rather inconsistent in its effectiveness. I use Blizz’s default mouseover cast feature to heal and it works perfectly for every spell besides Divine Toll.

For some reason, when I cast Divine Toll while mouseovering a friendly unit frame, it still uses Divine Toll on enemies instead. In order to heal with Divine Toll, I need to manually click on the unit frame to target the player and then cast it.

Holy Shock does not have this issue, despite Divine Toll essentially working as “AOE Holy Shock,” so I’m not sure why it doesn’t work the same.

i hate not being able to use my healing CD as a healing CD lol

More lke hate using my healing CD AND IT NOT WORKING

in theory, would a macro that mouseover targets the person, casts divine toll, then targetlastrarget work? I keep seeing all these macros with target a friendly etc, but usually i wanna target a specific player.

Just use the macro and it’s fine again [until they fix it].

Yes, they should address this bug and more for HPal’s but this can be adjusted very easily for the time being without Blizz.

will do for now much appreciated

Ngl i dont even care about the healing from divine toll. Its meh. The real value is in the triply holy shock with beacon of virtue

They should bring back something that resembles Daybreak (sans Glimmer) on a choice node with Rising Sunlight.

That way we could have the triple holy shocks on a seperate button if we choose.

I miss daybreak af. Kinda miss glimmer too it was more fun tho it was a balancing nightmare

Even as ret, i support this message, the skill is boring.

Balancing those abilities wasn’t a nightmare— it was impossible. It siphoned power from the baseline power of Holy Shock naturally because it was a modifier. Sometimes modifiers end up just feeling bad.

tbh it was probably balanceable with the removal of Beacon of Light/Virtue. Which they should CERTAINLY do. There is far, far too much power in Virtue, especially in 5 man content.

Particularly with the removal with Holy Infusion(CS granting 2hopo), the one thing that i want less than anything else is an additional setup global. I already need to be at 5hopo prior to a damage event-- that is 5 GCD’s, but i also need to have Virtue active as the damage goes out for 5% DR on the initial damage event.

This means that at any given moment you should expect to be planning your GCD’s 6-10 seconds in advance of any damage event. I’m not talking about CD planning, i’m talking about GCD planning. Frankly, it’s a lot-- particuarly when you consider the rest of the utility you’re expected to bring as a melee healer/paladin with kicks/stops/freedoms/ect.
