I haven’t used race/faction/name change services on the shop in many years.
If I want to play on another server, I just level up a new character in like 5 hours. It’s incredibly easy. I don’t really feel attached to each singular character anymore like I did when I played the game during its heyday. Now it’s more like “what kind of cool warband setup can I make?” instead of being all about one or two guys.
I personally don’t care either way, but you really have to wonder how much the rock bottom difficulty leveling has affected their sales of these services and boosts as well.
I had this kind of thought yesterday when leveling in Heroic World Tier of Lemix that even if they revamped the leveling process to actually be challenging and progress to a point where reaching max level felt like an actual accomplishment… I don’t think I’d even want it. The game has changed so much that it would just feel tedious, just like Heroic World Tier in Lemix feels tedious to me more than anything.
I have a toon whose name I hate. I kinda wanna use the name change service on her.

I have a few like that. I meant to buy a few name changes when they had them on sale recently, but it slipped my mind. I’ll wait til next time though. It’s not urgent.

You under estimate how lazy and unwilling to level people are, especially if they have the money to frivolously spend. I’ve seen people buy boosts for 10 levels. I’ve seen people buy boosts for characters they never end up playing. These are services that require zero inventory and zero investment on their end, so it’s a net gain whether they sell 1 boost or 100. I doubt they care how easy leveling has affects their boost sales, if at all. They’re likely making most of their income off subs and cosmetics in the shop.
when they go on sale like this i usually refresh my stock. I’m always making changes to characters. sure, I have 5 druid alts, but only one was my first. he will always be my main druid.

Level up her twin sister with the name you like, then when you get to the same level/ect, then maybe that sister has an accident…
Imo the services should be cheaper. I’ve been considering a race change on an alt but the change is basically the voice (DS to Zanda, fem). I’m not paying 25 bucks for that.
