You watch Big Bang Theory and they make the episode about Fortnite. Warcraft used to be the in thing apparently it’s no so much anymore :sob::sob::sob:

Well, Fortnite is the next big thing I guess and shows tend to catch the latest trend.

Funny thing: WoW is like a time capsule of the trends that were big during it’s time running. My dance for example is the Napoleon Dynamite dance, a movie I never seen before (which is why I call it the flyswat dance). The human female dance is the Macarana.

This is a 14 year old game. It has nothing to do with the game going downhill. It has to do with new trends.

I hate Fortnite, but it’s the biggest thing right now. Slap a fortnite reference on anything is the easiest way for companies, shows, etc to get views. It’s similar when to WoW was the top trend and was referenced on many shows.

It always made me cringe when a tv show made a reference to WoW and be incredibly factually incorrect. Just feels like they do some quick reading up on the game and just throw things into it.

It comes down to what is more relevant. Fortnite is way more popular with the younger generation than wow is.

Who even knows who that show is marketed to? The only people I know that watch it are kinda non-nerdy types who don’t catch why their “nerd jokes” are so mediocre at best.

I don’t follow. Big Bang Theory has already done plenty with WoW. You think because they’re mentioning a hip new game to be “cool” it somehow means WoW has backslid in popularity?
