"You have unspent talent points" is preventing me from playing my game

I just logged onto an old alt of mine who has some unspent talent points. I don’t care about that. I want to go through my bags and do what I WANT TO DO.

Instead, there is a new OBNOXIOUS pop-up that won’t let me see my bags properly.

Blizzard, in your desire to help me, you’re actually getting in the way of my enjoyment of the game.

Please remove this nonsense POST HASTE.

Ridiculous.

I don’t want to choose talents right now. I want to move my items around my bags. It’s not on you to force me to choose talents!

It’s been awhile, so my memory is fuzzy… Can someone remind me how long it takes to allocate talent points? If you are forced to address the talent point issue, exactly how long are you delayed from doing what you actually want to do?

I agree with you. I level my alts with pet battles and don’t want to bother with talents until max level.

You open the talent tree and select “Starter Build”. So maybe 20 seconds, presuming you don’t know where the talent tree button is.

The talent point pop up isn’t a tutorial thing.

Literally just select the preset, it’ll apply talents, then go about your day and then you can change talents later.

I went out to test various settings on an alt to see if I could solve this issue in a more meaningful way than “just spend the talents bro” but in a hilarious twist of irony I can’t even get the unspent talents window thing to pop up.

It is a tutorial thing. It went away when I turned off tutorial mode (which turned itself on after the last patch).

I have tutorials off, don’t play Plunderstorm and each time a character levels, I get the mini pop up on the micro menu.

Hey here you go, OP. It’s one of the tutorial things. I guess the latest patch switched them back on. I’m playing an alt right now and it popped up when I dinged a level.
