You have not collected this appearance?

What’s up with having a transmog item in your bag, but it still says, “You have not collecteed this appearance?” I have a few of these.

You have to sell it I believe, it has to be soulbound or something? So if it’s freshly obtained you can vendor/delete it and it’ll show up in there (Someone can correct if I am wrong!)

You only get the appearance if it’s for your armor type and it’s soulbound to you, or not refundable and tradable. If the piece is BoE then you have to equip it first to soulbind it, then you’ll get the mog and can sell it after.

As a hunter any cloth, leather or plate would not unlock and would still say you don’t have the appearance. Same for weapon types you can’t use. Can only be your class’ stuff.

They are in “trade” mode until equipped, then you have learned it. Also it must be your armor/weapon type, example a warlock can’t learn 2 handed swords.

put it on. Get appearance. Take it off. OR send to an alt that can wear it as its native armor type.

I think this is wrong if the item was a group tradable drop or a item bought from a vendor for a special currency. These need to be kept for, what is it, an hour? Two hours? Basically, there’s a trade / sell back countdown timer. Until it runs out the item isn’t, like, officially soulbound. I think you can speed this up by using it for mogging or putting it in void storage. Maybe other ways too.

I’m talking about cosmetic soulbound drop. Non-gear items. Looks only.

You cant mog white items . And as said above what u need to do is either equip it or sell it or make it favorite .

Sigh… I say again, cosmetic only. Non-equippable.

What item are you talking about?

Nevermind!

I didn’t realize there were two types. One you get automatically (from quests) and another that is an actual no-stat, wearable item. This was the latter. Thanks all.

You’re not a cloth class/spec. You are leather. You cannot collect outside your armor class unless it is specifically marked “cosmetic”

Warlocks can keep 2h swords they acquire to unlock for their Felguards though, it just needs to remain in thier bag. Actually theres a hilarious Youtube video out atm from a warlock rolling need on Corrupted Ashbringer on the very last night it could drop before the Wrath Classic launch. I personally have mixed feelings. Odd to see the lock roll need on a 2H sword, but at same time his reasoning was hanging onto it just in case Classic ever makes it as far as MoP when mogs unlock for a World First Felguard weilding a Corrupted Ashbringer. As bad as that roll sounded I think a World First would have had many other Warlocks attempt the same thing. It was open rolls, but funny none the less.
