Initially when I logged in this morning I saw a message that said that the Battlenet agent had went to sleep and it was attempted to wake it up. I was able to log in and went to the delve in North Azj. I was halfway through and suddenly got disconnected. Everytime I try to log back in I get this error message You have been disconnected (WOW51900328).
So I did the whole ipconfig release, renew and flush per the Blizzard support article that I have save. Good thing I have it saved too because there is something more going on here I noticed.
I cannot get to any Blizzard support pagesor articles. I get a message saying it it is taking long to connect and times out. It is not my computer or browser because I can get to any other website I try to.
Also, when I open the launcher, it loads up and my account is there, I can see friends and people logged in or not. However the middle of the launcher that provides news and such will not load. It says “Oops! Something went wrong. We had trouble loading your content.”
However, I can click on the launcher icon at the top left and click account. It opens my browser and takes me to my account just fine. I can switch between overview and security and all that just fine. But when I went to overview and attempted to redeem a code, again a page popped up that said it was taking too long to connect (same as when trying to access the support articles).
As you can see, I can access this forum.
I have restarted my computer. I have attempted to repair from the launcher but the repair is getting stuck. I have even unplugged and restarted my router. Nothing is working. When I try to access Support from my account on the website, I again get the message it is taking too long to connect and it will not load.
I have also went in and reset my interface an renamed the Cache, Interface and WTF folders, uninstalled Curseforge addon client, restarted computer and all again and this did not help either.
Other than being able to get here and put out a 911 for help, I am out in the cold. Please someone help. I live 20 miles from anywhere and have no vehicle bc some lady ran a red light and destroyed it. I might go crazy if I can’t play my Wow atm. Thanks for your time.
I do not have Cox internet. I have OEC Fiber and been with them since Oct. 2019 when they came into existence and have never had one problem with them. Everyone in town who has Cox or something else wants to sign on with them. I have 1GB up and down so speed and such is not an issue either.
There is one thing that is different today than yesterday. Windows 11 has an update waiting but I have not installed it. I don’t think a waiting update would be doing this, but, as a tech support specialist I have seen people with cellular updates waiting experience issues until they installed a waiting update. More particularly with Apple iPhones. It seemed wise atm to wait on any update but now I am wondering.
I have OEC fiber internet (not Cox) as well and loaded Battle Net, only to have the middle area of each game’s page give an “Oops! Something went wrong” error message on any game I click on.
Logging into WoW gets to “Logging into game server” for a few seconds before it tells me “You have been disconnected. (WOW51900328).”
I installed the Windows 11 update 24H2 a few days ago and didn’t have any issues with WoW afterwards. It was working perfecting fine yesterday and the days before that.
Seems like a number of people are having the same issue, so I am glad it isn’t just me. If there is anything else I cam do to provide more info, I will be happy to do so to the best of my ability.
You make me feel better about the update. Since you installed it and were able to play just fine, I can chalk that up to coincidence now. Thank you for posting that.
Update: I somehow managed to open a ticket with wow support. But it says 24 hours to maybe hear a response on it and that simply will not do. Especially when I can see other people from other servers are logged in and playing.
Doubt it’s an account level event. Blizzard support probably will send some links, just fyi. There is very little technical support that can be accomplished by web ticket, so do not be offended if they refer back to this forum or this article.
The Battle Net launcher just loaded the middle section for each game just fine now and I was able to login to Retail WoW.
Note that I don’t know if this has been completely fixed. Earlier today, others said that they were able to login but got disconnected after a bit with the same problems happening again. We’ll see if this has been fixed or not after a bit.
i have cox as well, it started this morning around 7-8am EST. What’s weird is i can play classic wow, but cannot play the anniversary realms, and almost NONE of blizzards support pages will load and the launcher sits there and loads…
