You have been disconnected (WOW51900223)

So, I just logged on and got a message in chat that I have been disconnected from Blizzard Services (or something like that). When I pulled up my friends list it said I was disconnected and that a restart of WoW might help. I rebooted my computer and now I cannot even log in. I the realm list all of them say “incompatible”. And when I try to log in I get this message:

You have been disconnected (WOW51900223)

What gives?

It would seem the client you are running is outdated, run the launcher after restarting your computer. If it does not start updating, hit the scan and repair utility under the options menu.

Thank you Kozzae! That was the problem. I normally launch with the World of Warcraft icon, rather than the Battledotnet one. I guess I shouldn’t do that?

Using the Launcher is the preferred method as it helps to ensure that the game stays updated.
