You have 3 wishes, now fix wow!

Can you do that with only 3 wishes??

Here is my attempt:

  1. Remove scaling of gear, it’s annoying when everything hits you harder just because you just got a better sword.
  2. Restrict token sales. Or at least have them equally distributed on servers.
  3. Make the Executive Team play the game.
  1. Remove WoW forums
  2. ???
  3. Profit

Harsh punishments for people who are toxic, bot, multibox, or boost for cash. Restore the integrity of the game first to have a solid foundation to build on.

Let the employees have fun. When they stopped GM’s from tinkering around in game the joy behind the game’s development went away. They don’t feel the joy making something, we don’t feel the joy playing it.

Uhhh…third. Let us get gear drops again. Don’t listen to those people who complained about it on the forums, they are not game devs. Running dozens of mythics and getting maybe one piece of gear is really killing it for a lot of people.

Erase everyone’s mind so they forget wow and get to experience it fresh for the first time. Boom… I just fixed wow.

  1. I wish much of the team that helped make the best parts of WoW were still around.
  2. I wish that the investors/developers cared more about how many people were actually playing and not how often the people who do play are playing.
  3. I wish that there was a greater focus on player agency when it comes to power and solo versus group play.

  1. Management needs to be replaced. Game director replaced. Done a bad job, bad direction, needs to go. Also Danuser shown door for writing that isn’t up to snuff.
  2. Merge factions, people can play what race they want with whatever other races they want in what cities they want and as part of this expanded customization, merging of races down to base races (void/blood elves become one with access to all customizations for both, same with orcs/trolls/draenei).
  3. 500 million dollars completely legal, tax free in an account under my control. You didn’t say all my wishes had to be about fixing WoW.

Why would they do that when they expressly permit multiboxing?

Game would be completely downsized within six months and you’d be lucky to get a new expansion every five years, if the game even lasted that long. Actiblizz would likely cull it out of the lineup because it’s revenue would likely drop to <20% of what it is right now. They’d sustain a few servers like a dying brown dwarf star until the lights went dim for good.

Give casuals a reason to do THEIR instances… normal LFD, heroic LFD,LFR. Give casuals a reason to play content that’s not grinding for months on end for inferior rewards.

Just give casuals a reason to play in general.

  1. No more storyline “borrowed power”. I’m not talking about gear. I’m talking about Artifacts, Azerite, etc. Stuff that magically disappears when the expansion is over.

  2. More customizations for all races (Example: humans should have longer beard options. Classic wizard look please)

  3. More Allied races. Off the top of my head, Ogres, Vyrkul, Aarakoa, Naga.

  1. Ability to choose one item you want from ALL Great Vault possibilities
  2. People who pull Consumption early earn a title they cannot remove for a week that says ‘I Pulled Consumption Early And All I Got Was This Stupid Title’
  3. In order to leave to Mythic Keystone, you have to 1v4 the rest of the group. If you win you can leave, if you lose you have to stay. If you just CRTL ALT DEL, next time you log in you have to fight bot versions of the players you abandoned, and you can’t return to the normal game until you defeat them

I would like to have artifacts back. They were better than azerite by far and felt like talents we were rewarded with. I would have rather kept powering them up in each expansion with new talents and abilities.

Yeah, it would have been nice to keep them. I liked not having to worry about getting a weapon.

*I don’t want to do a Torghast thingy weekly, like any flavor of that. Hate it. Remove it.
*Remove all but one currency, too hard to keep track of all the ones I need and for what I need them for etc.
*Make covenants easier to switch between

  1. Have an omnipotent and benevolent AI become the sole designer of wow.
