Yeah, they did change it.
What did people do in Classic though?

Because I like live. I used to play pservers but tbc isn’t out on live yet is it. I’m not practicing vanilla. I’m practicing draenei leveling. Until today I had no way of doing it on live servers.
botted and abused the system, and people who got donations constantly for 24 hr GM streams and high end private server guilds got the title and gear… what are you trying to say?
I played classic day 1 on a PVP server and when the honor ranks released. Deeprun Tram honor abusing and botting, premade addons. Players abused a system that was broken beyond belief. What will they do with harder rating requirements to come? Pay money for boosts!
Oh not to mention regulate the amount of honor top end players had to farm to ensure they were in the top ranks and “taking turns” ranking (is that abusing the system)??
If that mount is for all characters on account that’s gonna make it even faster.
The guys I ran with on weekends, ranked from 5am to 12 or 1 am. They just did it all week, while I could only do it on weekends…
The point was, yes they changed the system, but they didn’t in Classic, we had to go through it again.
You forget the #nochanges was not a real thing.
They changed the patch of AV they implemented, they changed the phase dates, they didnt necessarily change how people could get honor, but they made it to the point abusing systems was easier.
If you think the real GM farm in classic was the same, it wasnt. Maybe for some who dedicated to keeping it a true as possible but there were changes, and there were way more people who abuse afk bots in the beginning, camping FP points for more honor during pvp phase, like I said the tram slaughter as there was like 1 NPC for a dishonorable kill there.
The GM farm in classic was not the same experience already. There are so many abusers of the system I still don’t know what you are trying to get at.
I agree, I’m not sure why they needed to release it exactly on June 1st. Maybe they were worried no one would play a July release? It’s just weird, it should’ve been 3-4 weeks long I think everyone would’ve been happy with that
