You guy's think we'll ever get a 1-144hz freesync range?

^topic. Just wondering if you guy’s think amd will ever come out with a iteration of freesync that will support a full freesync range instead of the ones we getting now like 48-144hz?

eh if you have fps that low you prob. need to upgrade something else

iPad Pro’s have supported adaptive framerates from 24hz up through 120hz since 2017, which isn’t quite 1-144 but closer. There the idea is that there’s no point wasting extra power rendering 96 extra frames per second when you’re watching a 24FPS movie or staring at a spreadsheet, though it’s also enabled for games to reduce judder/tearing.

The control over hardware and software is much more tight in that situation though which is probably a big factor.

My display is 30-144, although I’m not sure how well Gsync supports it.

It seems Gsync “compatible” displays are hit or miss.

I found native Freesync to be better implementation so far vs. Gsync. Definitely less strange behavior.

My Alienware Gsync display does 30-120

You need a freesync monitor with LFC (Low Framerate Control). Low framerates are multiplied to achieve full range freesync.
