You guys really want necromancers over all possible classes?

sounds more like a reason WoW should have necromancers. i’m not a massive ‘we need necromancers!’ fan, but… honestly, at this point, i just want something new to play as. bard, necromancer, dragonsworn, chronomancer, blood-mage, any of these would be awesome new classes imo.

DK specs= Blood (Vampirism), Frost (Lich), Unholy (Necrolyte).

That’s your Necromancer class.

The class can summon skeletons, ghouls, abominations, gargoyles, Frost dragons, blood worms, zombies, undead mages, and ghosts. How the hell is it not a Necromancer?

Because it doesn’t wear robes and have a staff? Wear the starting DK gear, it’s robes. Use a polearm scythe. It’s a staff.

Done.

Id love a necromancer. Wow does need a new class.

We do not have a tank spec focused on more than one unit. The Tank spec is 100% not something we have.

Because it would be a nightmare to balance and play.

I feel like a Tinker “subclass” are the best option to address queue issues.

Just have a mech suit that anyone can jump into and become a “tinker” that can tank or heal to expedite queue times and still get gear for their role.

No, it wouldn’t.

Its based around being able to move the minion with your abilities as a matter of course. Not the way current pet systems work.

Cause it’s not a pet spec it’s a tank spec with a unique mechanic.

Again, don’t think so narrowly.

They’d be more similar to DKs than to warlocks but ok.

Have you tried to move your minion around while you’re using abilities? Try it sometime with a Warlock or Death Knight. It isn’t easy even with trash mobs on your level. Doing it in a high pressure Raid would be awful.

Also what if your pet dies?

Except in GW2 you don’t even need minions. You can make a minion power build… Or you can make a great sword power build. Or a condition build.

Necromancers in GW2 aren’t tied down by their pets.

It’s part of your standard abilities are based around movement for the minion and also engage some of its abilities.

For instance one could be a charge abil, another a move here and taunt target to it, ect.

Depends. Either it’s designed so it’s life and yours are the same or you have a percentage of damage it takes allowing you to have a window to resummon.

Few other ways that could be dealt with.

I prefer the shares your health. Since you’re a tank spec you’d have a lot comparable to other tank classes.

and make the 4th spec be a nerf, like it was for druids.

well death knights and warlocks fulfill part of the necro class archetype…so.

a ranged necro class would be cool though i agree.

i want it more than any other wow class that’s for sure

i think we’ll get them eventually. death knights and warlocks are way different than necromancers for multiple reasons and every other mmo has a necro class
