You guys do understand the WHY of Blizzards conduit choices, dont you?

The problem is, the pro restrictions crowd keeps crying that they can’t have any fun if other people have choices.

You guys ever notice how all these complaints against blizzards attempts to restore the RPG aspect of the game started once YouTube/streamers who made WoW their IRL jobs started crying about how it would make their experience harder? Hmmmm…

That is the biggest nonsensical post yet. Unless you are being sarcastic, in which case, over my head.

I’ve only ever watched one video and that was the Ion interview, which I only watched because it was an official Blizz person.

Hating these new systems isn’t just from YouTubers

The push-back is also based on theory.

Blizzard has opened themselves up to actual feedback and has responded to a lot of feedback. They changed Conduits to a library that upgrades based on ilvl loot drops (a great solution), they’ve changed Torghast Torments (less fantastic IMO), they’ve changed the design of several Covenant abilities.

What they won’t listen to is Preach belly-aching that he won’t “have it his way” based on theory only.

I guess there is an upside to blizzards idiotic conduit CD crap, lol
Ive got a list of druids I need to level thru BFA and now that its easier and SL’s is going to apparently suck WORSE than BFA because of conduit idiocy…I’ll have the time and motivation to play those other druids thru BFA now for the next two years.

I’ll get caught up with SL at the end…yet again.

God I want legion back

I enjoy min maxing, I play RPGs because I like to optimize my chars. I don’t think I’m in the “1%” either, this number seems made up.

You dont have the perfect covenant? Well we will just kick you because you obviously suck.

It’s absolutely your choice. And the community will absolutely kick you, and find someone who happened to not PvP this week. Enjoy das boot.

Isn’t there 2 or 3 different people that we can use for this? If there is why can’t you just set one up for pvp, one for mythic+ and one for raids.

Exactly, people are deluded if they think there won’t be plenty of others with the “right” covenant for the planned activity who will be available for pugs.

They could do that but the game is balanced around M+ now so it is unlikely to happen now. :100:

Just play the game however you want.

I think what you’re referring to is more the inability to easily swap between powers, not the balancing of the powers themselves. I’m in total agreement that players should easily be able to swap between power. Even for myself I’d love to be able to have multiple talent pages for the same spec. Right now my warrior is set up for Fury PVE and Arms PVP. I’d love to do Arms for both, but it’s a pain in the butt to swap my talents and azerite traits every time I want to go BG.

What I was referring to was more the design/balance aspect of borrowed power. In that aspect there’s always going to be a most optimal choice, either because it pumps raw numbers or because the utility is just irreplaceable. You ALWAYS have the choice to choose a less optimal build for the sake of fun/memes.

Even if there is only a difference of 1% vs 3% bonus damage in a talent for example, top end raiders and tryhards are gonna always choose the 3% because it just is better. Or if it’s 1% increased damage versus a huge stun/immunity, people will choose the nutty utility because it’s potential impact is higher.

It’s literally impossible to be like “Ok guys, all 5 of these options are roughly equal for PVP, M+, and Raids” It just doesn’t exist. No matter how you shake it out, someone will figure out a build that is just generally the best for whatever situation. There will be a setup that 9/10 times is best for M+, a setup that 9/10 is best for raid, and a setup that 9/10 is best for PVP.

Yes there are outliers. For instance DH’s Furious Gaze azerite power is just pretty much the best in all situations. But my take on it is that this is no more limiting than needing to stack a certain stat. Like if my class/spec requires that I stack haste to be at my strongest, it means I’m always going to be a fast and hi tempo style of dps. There is no option where I get to be more chunky.

When you pick your class/spec, to a certain degree, you are accepting a singular playstyle regardless of talents and borrowed power options.

Any chance on your absolute best day, that you faintly resemble suicide squad Margo robbie’s HQ?

Cause I think we could make that work. Lol

Who the he’ll do you think you are telling people what to do!?!?? Lol

You’re so toxic with your demands and level headed thinking… We dont need your kind around here… /raises fist menacingly.

I have absolutely zero idea what this reference is, but I’ll still try to high five you after you walk away in disgust…

Blizzard is not allowing that in shadowlands. You will slog through the maw with role play walking and enjoy it. :100:

It’s not just that, this game is about progression. It always has been.

Most of Saangreal’s ideas undermine that and sound very dull and boring for a RPG.

Granted Blizzard has gone insane with how much stronger we get in each expansion, but the answer isn’t to swing hard in the opposite direction and basically kill progression off in the game.

If I wanted a game that was about making alts and building a bunch of different characters, I would just play Diablo 2. It’s a lot better at being that kind of game.

RP walk is +10% to awesome

Well Pallies are used to role play walking around Mages in PVP so what is new?

IF its possible.
Im assuming blizzard will yet again be mentally deficient enough to have FORCED me into group content to get mats, recipes, etc.
They seem unable to resist the overwhelming urge to do it, lol

so Im running solo content as resto druid. I WONT heal this expansion so Id need to run that gruop content to get that crap I mentioned in DPS…feral spec…but I cant change my specs apparently but once a flippin week from what wowhead seems to be saying.

Am I supposed to be stuck in Feral for a WEEK just because I needed to run into a flippin dungeon or LFR to get some blasted mat or recipe and now I cant swap back into resto to do my SOLO game???

IF this is actually how its working…IM OUT.
See you all at the end of the expansion…I’ll be catching up on BFA with my other druids.
