You guys do understand the WHY of Blizzards conduit choices, dont you?

Blizzard is trying to break the toxic mentality of Min/Maxing that doesnt apply too literally 99% of the playerbase, but they still get punished for.

You dont have the perfect corruption and essences? Well we will just kick you because you obviously suck.

You have the wrong conduit for said activity? Oh well maybe you specced PVP this week and you have no choice. We wont kick you, because its not your choice to be specced for the wrong thing.

How do you guys NOT see this? This is Blizzard trying to force change the culture of the toxic playerbase that punishes people for not wanting to play the way YOU want them to play.

Did you expect people to be thrilled with Blizz attempting to stamp out something considered toxic by doing it themselves? Was everyone supposed to go “I’ve been bad. Punish me harder.”?

Is an ounce of introspection that much to ask for?

I have no clue what conduits are or why they are a big deal, but man seems like one hot topic right now. Can’t wait to find out in a few months when the expansion releases.

How dare we ask someone we don’t know to try to be good at the game when we’re looking to complete content, and not just coast through it briskly.
How dare we?!

Thats just it. If im good at the game, but have a Raid conduit spec, i shouldnt get black listed from Mythic+ for that week. This is the attempt to fix that.

I know right, it is beyond obvious that they are trying to remove the playstyle of “I want to change to be optimal for each boss, dungeon, content” yet you see the tryhards keep asking why.

Ion said it clearly
“the higher up you go the more that bothers you, we understand that feedback, it isnt a surprise to us but across the totality of the game and the broader audience "

In other words, they care about the entire game rather than the whims of some tryhards, they clearly say they UNDERSTAND the feedback, they CHOOSE TO IGNORE IT because their goal is to make a game for the broader audience

The high end wannabe elitists arent the dev team’s priority

They’re basically just Legion relics, but since BFA added Essences, people expect every single feature going forward to act like Essences.

Change my View: Essences were probably the single biggest mistake Blizzard has made in the last six year at least. The absolute entitlement they’ve bred in the community who believe that now all features going forward must be Burger King is completely degenerate.

Do as I say not as I do is a terrible teaching method. That aside, it’s not like Blizz is being particularly careful about who it effects. They’re leveling the street because they don’t like one building.

I don’t mind the change but it brings up a problem of let’s say you do two things, Raiding and M+, you have two sets of conduits for them. Now let’s say your guild pushes raid progs at Tuesday and let’s say Friday. That leaves two days in between where you can’t really switch to your M+ conduits because of the CD.

This may force guilds to switch up their raiding/M+/PvP times that will not work for already established members.

Edit: Unless I’m missing something.

Ahh thanks for the clarification. Also I agree with your view.

I just won’t take you at all if you’re already locked out.
I’ll find someone locked into m+ conduits.

Blizzard has been going further and further downhill trying to bend to the whims of these elitists. We went from 12 million subs in WOTLK to losing most under Greg Street’s “bring the player not the class” raid mentality.

WoW peaked when it was an RPG. It tanked when it was made into an action-game with no soul. Subs have gone up more than 200% when Blizzard has devoted themselves to trying to make WoW an RPG again. Numbers speak for themselves.

I LOVED being a Druid Off-tank in BC. Did it suck when i got hit back to back with unlucky crits that i didnt dodge? Of course, but having twice as much health and 50% dodge felt freaking AMAZING. The 5% crit buff and Mark of the Wild also felt great in a raid. I MISS those things.

This does nothing to dissuade the people in the Groupfinder who post ridiculous requirements for lower level content, which is what most people have complained about.

Yeah… every expansion it happens, there’s nothing Blizzard can do that will stop it, the community is the one making up these requirements.

I agree OP.

Well when you put it like that, I would like to be punished harder actually.

That’s not going to happen  you’ll just get kicked for someone that didn’t spec for pvp this week

The way you achieve this is with good balance, like the current state of racials.

As long as there’s a correct choice, any other choice is wrong. And it’s not just that people in a position of power will use that power to make the choice for you (again, former state of racials), but being good is aspirational. Most people will look up to the people they respect and try to do what they can to perform better.
