Relax, some of them might be buying the rank 2 mats for the gathering weekly or, if you are selling rank 3, it might be those that need them for other crafting proffs.
Depends on the profession but yah’, folks put up both public and (via trade chat) private crafting orders all the time
I am a very relaxed player and don’t try to min-max much in-game
But if I were to min-max professions in Dragonflight, just off of trade chat I could easily make more than a token’s worth of gold A DAY
Even with just my own character setup and able to do what they can do, half a token a day is entirely doable - I’m just kinda lazy and don’t advertise myself often enough but when I do … yah’, I can easily make half a token worth of gold
