In P1 and P2 when alliance complained about faction balance it was “PvP happened on a PvP server” and “so reroll horde.”
Now it’s “give us faction changes, these queues are too long.”
Sorry bud, alliance had to grind their brains out just to level from 1 - 60 on most PvP servers and had queue times just to get into BRD to complete quests, upwards of 45 minutes of corpse running in P2 from the flight path and most parties dissolving before they all made it in.
I’m sure I’ll get the generic “I rolled horde because I like the faction more” response. How many hours of research did you pour into your character and class to min/max everything about it? Had you put even an hour of research into which faction was going to be severely underpopulated at the start of Classic you wouldn’t be in this position.
Retail brains everywhere. Some of you just need to get over it and realize you’re literally experiencing the negatives of choosing your faction for the first time in the game while alliance on PvP servers have been dealing with it since launch.
We openly called for horde to reroll alliance from mid P1 all the way into P2.5 and nobody cared. If you’re too self interested in your own goals for enjoying this game it’s probably not the right game for you. It relies entirely on the community working together on at least a base level to survive.
Nah, it’s not coming to classic due primarily to #NoChanges, and secondarily due to it being a terrible idea. Glad you like BFA though! Maybe go enjoy your game so we can enjoy ours?
You’re damn right this is the WoW for me and I won’t even dispute that BFA has harder mechanics at the very top end.
I don’t play WoW for ultra balanced competitive aspects; it’s a terrible game for that. I play CSGO for that. I play WoW for an MMORPG, which includes the feel of the world and the cross-faction animosity inherent to vanilla - both of which would be ruined by faction transfers. I say this on a server that is incredibly lopsided out of my favor.
BFA is neither balanced & competitive, nor is it a good MMORPG. As seen by you asking for faction transfers on Classic; I literally haven’t even logged into BFA since resubbing for classic, though I did play it at the start of the xpac. It’s a carrot-on-a-stick simulator, and not the kind from ZF. But like I said, have fun and stop asking for changes here since you already play the version of WoW that can be changed! Thanks!
Faction change is already available.
Step 1 ) if you are on a PvP server you need to delete all your characters on that server, if you are on a Normal server or plan to move to a new server at same time you don’t need to.
Step 2) click create character.
Step 3) create a character of the opposite faction
Step 4) ??? Level
Step 5) OMG LOOK MA !
Step 6) profit.
Absurd. Just reroll. Isn’t that what Horde players kept telling Alliance? Don’t like being outnumbered everywhere then just reroll. Well you don’t have patience to wait in a queue? Reroll Alliance.

The alliance is notorious for low pvp participation. The server can be balanced but a chunk of the alliance population is afk at IF looking for dungeon groups. 50/50 can feel like 40/60 and worse for the alliance in wpvp.
You cant just easy street the leveling process as horde then switch to alliance at 60. You need to earn a 60 alliance by leveling up like the rest of us.
Your queues are a direct result of the majority of pvpers rolling horde due to overpowered pvp racials. If you want reduced queue times you should advocate blizzard giving humans stun resist and NE’s the undead racial
I tried bringing this up too, but instead I got over 300 replies of complaints and anger from the Alliance community.
They’d rather further destruction of their communities and low populations instead of resolving this problem just out of spite which is quite a boomer shame.
Its getting worse cause horde meta nowadays is to turtle and extend the games as long as possible. This directly affects youre queue plus indirectly increases your queue by discouraging alliance pugs from requeuing.
I accidentally joined a full alliance pug today and it was the worst pvp experience i have had since the world pvp phase. If this was all I could join, I would simply stop queuing AV
