So crit with extra steps?
from back in my paper & dice days:
THAC0
Man, I havenât heard the word THACO in about 20 years.
A lot of good times to be had back then.
Weapon mastery. Types of weapon could have different effects, like bladed weapon have a chance to cause open wounds to bleed dmg over time. Long weapons have a chance to strike a second target. Stuff like that, I would just like to see weapons have more of an RPG identity instead of being completely boring stats sticks.
Iâd be happy just removing Versatility or turning it into a PVP only stat. Iâm tired of the game being balanced around it
I would also like to see 2 more stats added, not just one, and all gear should have an extra line of stats.
Also bring back reforging of course because that was good and there was no valid reason to remove it.
In what way is the game âbalancedâ around versatility?
Some classes are dependent on Versatility for performance instead of their base spells just doing adequate damage/healing.
Itâs a lot less of a problem in TWW, but pretty much every spec at the end of Dflight favored Versatility for its dual function of increasing damage done and reducing damage takenâmy issue with it is that itâs a boring stat.
We donât need a new statâŠ
Is this like saying classes are âbalancedâ around their primary stat since it does the same thing offensively?
And many specs arenât fans of vers.
It does become more helpful as you push the razer edge of an infinite scaling system, but thatâs hardly having the game balanced around it.
Armor Pen redone as Weapon Mastery like Tassidam stated. Having different mastery effects for weapons would be fitting considering these characters have been wielding their weapon times for FAR too long to still not gain anything from them, especially classes that can elementally, magically, or otherwise physically strengthen their given weapon through various means.
resilience for pvp. there used to be actual pvp gear
defensive rating for tanking. there used to be actual tanking gear
not sure about mp5. mana regen isnât much of an issue for most content
It can devolve into âx is balanced around yâ I just think that Versatility is the least interesting stat and when a spec depends on it, it feels awful because the other stats are just more fun.
Multicast; casts multiple times on a cast bar or channel.
Mana
My DM ran us through White Plume Mountain using 1e last year. THAC0 table was cursed, especially after being introduced to TTRPG, with 5e. The rules felt super unclear and I never knew if I was or wasnât hitting. Not a lot of fun imho, not understanding the rules leads me to meta game and once I know the rules I start to relax and roleplay. Kinda the opposite of MMOs really.
Booba size
A stat called Workinâ Hard where across your account, crafting/gathering quality goes up for everyone on your account.
Iâve wanted that for more RPG aspect to the game, and some more logic, for a while.
Its the ye olde skyrim meme.
Look!, that guy jsut killed a dragon. lets mug him!
Whatever that OPâd cheese stat is for Pokemon games that lets you win battles you really shouldnât.
âYour lvl 1 Charmander survived Garchompâs Earthquake because it loves you.â
