This is a fun post!!
Okay so without reading other replies first here is what I would do:
- I would still do the same main content IE PVP and PVE and try and push M+ rating and PVP rating as well pushing mythic raid content.
- I would have more time to go around and collect transmogs and mounts/pets.
- I would be able to truly test my skills vs others skills vs my luck vs others luck.
- I could test out other classes at their fullest capabilities rather than trying to guestimate the difference in gear while re trying to gear said class.
- work on filling out achievements.
Now don’t get me wrong I do think there needs to be some sort of gear progression in the game otherwise a huge drive to play is gone. But they could implement a better “catch up” method so like let’s say you get full hero level gear on your main toon blizz just nerfs it to the ground so rather than saying screw it and rerolling starting from scratch or losing interest in the game you can chose 1 toon to “mirror” the gear. You get a bag in the mail that has a generic set of gear matching the ILVL of your “unlocked set”. If you decide to change your desired “mirrored” character than the character that got the free gear would lose that set of gear and the new class you chose would get the same unlocked gear. OFC blizz could gatekeep this ability with like a CD period of like 3 days so it is not abused.
