Honestly with such a low output limit on the wand it would be almost useless for anything meaningful on earth.

Maybe if you could choose to make sand that is all or mostly some kind of useful rare earth material it would have meaningful value.

The only other useful thing I can think of would be that you could use it to accelerate a spaceship. It would only be useful on a intergalactic scale trip to keep up a tiny amount of acceleration without having to carry the fuel. Unless the wand somehow breaks physics (beyond producing the sand from presumably nothing,) and doesn’t produce any force as a reaction to the sand being ejected. Which might be the case if you want to be able to hold it in your hand and use it.

You do realize that it outputs at 300 lbs per hour, or 2.5 tons a day which is a significant amount. It can be used to make rare earth metals, or sands infused with it as by definition sand is simply broken down rock, shells, and metal.

Raw sand in its most pure form, before years of erosion have reduced its effective health benefits (or some BS marketing gimmick). If you can generate normal sand, you could travel around and sell regional variants.
