I guess battle pets also count. I just mean you ever have different hunters and you go for specific themes for their hunter pets?
I have a orc hunter for example. Sure you’d think I’d go for wolves n stuff. Well way back when that toon was made I was motivated to get devilsaurs. Because dinosaurs are just freaking rad. Seriously if I ever level that toon thru BfA they’re probably going to feel like they died and went to heaven with all the Zandalari dinosaurs.

Well my orc one is my “main” hunter. The worgen alt I have was just so I could casually do Loremaster and see ally stories.

I want a hunter alt one day! When I’m done doing Loremaster in Lannisteros , and make my new Horde main either BE warlock or Zanda Druid.
But I want a hunter alt mmm BE , I’ve seen people transmog the plaguebringer set with this hood I think from Antorus that makes them look like a Dark Ranger, so I’d do the no pet thing in marksmanship I think? Idk but I wanna serve Sylvanas that’s for sure!

Nope. I pretty much tame whatever I like on Bret, and discard the extra pets that I haven’t used in a looooong time. I’ll always keep certain ones that I have grown fond of over the years, or that I had a sense of accomplishment when taming them all those years ago…

My Mechagnome has Mechs.
My Dwarf has bears.
My Night Elf has Nightsabers and Owls.
My Worgen has Dogs and Wolves.
My Mag’har has Wolves and Iron Horde Beasts.
My Blood Elf has everything since she is my main Hunter.

Undead is only choice. If undead can’t be that class then blood elf. Easy.

Some classes more than others, but yeah…I have like two paladins and two warriors but one of each is abandoned.
I don’t get people who ACTIVELY play multiples of the same class. Feels wasteful. Or like you’re spreading your time entirely way too thin.
Yeah, 3/4 out of my hunters have a certain pet.
My main hunter is my NElf, so she switches between pets (she’s mogged as a dark ranger so I don’t usually use a pet on her most of the time). I mainly use a black widow or the black feathermane cat since it matches her mog. Been wanting to pick up the Shadowclaw pet as well for her.
Worgen - Hati, still need to do the quest though. I’ll use the Eaglewatch version, maybe Hati’s Sacrifice. Maybe Fenryr.
LFD - I’ll probably be making her winter-themed, so for her, I’ll use the white tiger from the Timeless Isle.
BElf - Red tiger from Pandaria or the red lynx from the starting zone.

One of my Hunters is a Farstrider who uses appropriately-themed pets from Eversong Woods and elven lore.
The other is a Goblin who uses spirit beasts as “holographic inventions” in RP.
If the pet doesn’t fit either of them, I won’t use them.
My blood elf has 3 pets 1 for each spec if I even use one at all on mm.
Corehound demon green from outside black temple.
Spider for marksmen.
And a cat for survival

Yes, I do the same thing. 
My Night Elf uses Cats, and my Blood Elf prefers birds, my Goblin only uses Mechanical Pets, and my new Vulpera will use Fox pets.
