I hope everyone that actively used Layering to do something other than joining a group to join a group gets penalized.

Well pretty much everyone warned blizz about the high possibilities of layering abuse and blizz ignored them. IMO they should remove all of the crystals from that guy but since they knew this kind of thing could happen, and let’s face it that it was likely to happen, and they didn’t do anything to prevent layer hopping then I’d say they will do absolutely nothing here.

If they refuse to do damage control, sure most people were bury their head in the sand and enjoy the nolstalgia.
But will wonder why later on 6-12 months later why its so damn hard to earn any gold because people abused layering so hard right now and went unpunished.
People do not understand the implications being able to abuse the layers like this will cause.

Yeah this definitely has to be considered an exploit.
We made a big uproar over something like this happening and Blizzard came out and said we wouldn’t be able to switch layers and mine the same nodes yet here we are.

I mean just knowing that whatever resource you thought you gathered had any value, or anything at all.
And that someone can just teleport between all the different layers and harvest it all effortlessly just kills almost all drive I have to play.
I’m a competitive player, seeing people effectively cheat, and its endorsed so far by Blizzard, just kills it.
Seeing this makes me want to start layer hopping so I can be competitive with them and stay on the edge. But it is SO SO WRONG and if I have to layer hop to be competitive I’d rather quit Classic entirely unless they fix this and roll back/remove/delete anything gained from it on accounts that are doing it.
If people are saying the Minority are crying about it,
A even smaller Minority are abusing it and should be snuffed out.
PERIOD.

If they don’t fix it, I’m gone. Its a stupidly large unfair advantage given to players willing to Exploit and bend the rules and the integrity of the game.
But ya I won’t be surprised if they don’t do anything honestly, I didn’t expect that Blizzard could not mess up Classic WoW in some major way.
The Raid XP is minor impact compared to this.

I deliberately switched layers to collect resources…
Admittedly it was so that all the NPCs in IF would actually show up so I could buy reagents.

Thats my general issue with it, I care about the entire picture.
I want to Work hard and show off how hard I worked by my achievements/gear/mounts/etc. I want to see that as well from other players.
But Layer Exploiting is up there with being able to just buy gold or gear and get whatever you want. It makes that distinction for me whether or not someone actually ‘earned’ something completely go away.
These are the exact things that drive me away from most modern MMO’s because my Hours sunk into them generally don’t matter you can just pay to get to a similar status in many cases. Which may as well be cheating by game integrity sense.
