Just find your game .exe file and you can skip the app and still play until they fix the app
You mean the B-Net Launcher?
Doesn’t work for me. Says all servers are down when I try to do that.
NO…search your comp for wow.exe or overwatch.exe
YOU DONT NEED LAUNCHER TO OPEN GAME FOR YOU!
You’re not considering that I’ve been logging in through the launcher for so long that I’ve forgotten my own account information.
That’s what I said. You don’t need to yell, at me.
You can only launch directly from the wow folder IF your game files are up to date. If you’re like me, just coming back from a several month break, you cannot log into a server until the game is updated. Can only get updates through Battlenet.
Open Bnet application; leave it on the “Blizzard Agent went to sleep. Attempting to wake it up” screen. Navigate to your game folder (Usually Programfiles(x86)/worldofwarcraft/classic) and open the WowClassic application. You will have to manually type your information in, however this works to get you in game.
This will also replicate to any other BNet game.
Right click wow shortcut on desk top. open file location. Click on -classic- at top. all way at bottom, wow classic. that should bring up the old launcher.
for Win10 on default install settings:
C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_classic_
will lead to WowClassic.exe which will load the game outside of the blizz launcher. Im in game
I can’t find wow.exe I am in the wow folder… its just froze on starting battle net… did they get corona virus at blizzard? I was just at the grocery store it was chaos. No water and little food is left in Florida.
Still food here. Maybe once it goes public that corona is in my city, the stores will explode.
nvm found the folder/ yea be safe yall
This only works if you are fully patched.
My laptop is not patched so I have “incompatible servers”.
A power outage during gameplay got a file corrupted and now I can’t play the game until I can repair/update/install it.
Is your WOW account info the same as your battle.net info?
Been doing this since 2004. The only reason you need to use the launcher is when the game needs an update.
I got this error on my browser. Here is how I fixed it.
-
I clicked the more info link: it said to restart the blizzard agent
-
I opened Windows Task Manager (ctrl-alt-del on my PC). As usual, under Processes there were 3 lines for Battle net exe and 1 line for Agent exe
-
I ended those 4 processes by highlighting each line and clicking the End Process button.
-
I restarted as normal (the launcher button). It worked fine.
Clicking the error link told me to restart my computer. So I did. And then magically the Launcher worked again. Imagine.
You have to use the launcher to patch the game.
