But that’s the issue - nobody would buy that stuff. The point of the store is to make money. And to make money, they have to design unique and interesting mounts / cosmetics.

One of my top favorite mounts is a store one - snowstorm but not these new ones.
Don’t forget that Clash of Clans had something like $500 million of revenue in 2021.
I already paid money for the game, the expansions, and the subscription fee; there should be no in-game shop.

Then I’ll spell it out for you: I already paid three times over for access to the mounts, so why should I pay a fourth time?
All those payments you made are just so you can access mounts? There’s more to the game than that.

Anyway, I’m completely indifferent to in-game shop cosmetics and mounts. Every MMO has it, whether the game is free or buy to play. You can choose to ignore it and let people spend their own money how they see fit, or you can be a sook about it on forums. I’ll choose the former.
