Lothul i understand that you wish a better game (for you), but classic don’t are a remake or remaster, it’s a classic game like NES, SNES and more classic games.
All things in game are conected, if you change one will alter other and other and other… Classic wow will be a game without updates Devs was sayd this. Only bug updates they will do, so i recommend you to ask these ideas for improve BFA that is tha game that will have content and gameplay update.
Oh, and let me add–the recent Baldur’s Gate “Enhanced Edition” remaster wasn’t good enough for me either. That’s why I still have a laptop with Windows 7 that runs the original game when I want to play it, which I regularly do. And part of why I don’t want an “Enhanced Edition” of World of Warcraft, much less your proposed thing.
If you, Lothul, just can’t see value in anything older than a decade, that’s a personal issue which you should deal with personally instead of generalizing it to everyone here.
The problem is that people don’t want there to be changes. We want it as it was, that’s the whole point of Classic.
Blizzard didn’t decide randomly to do it like this, we demanded it. We’ve been demanding it since partway into the first expansion when some people wanted to go back.
What you’re suggesting is a completely different experience than what we wanted.
So folks who want classic wow with as few of changes as possible, dont want classic wow with as few of changes as possible no matter how many times they say it.
Your personal opinion. I still play it and the game is fine as is.
People know exactly what they want. Sorry you do not agree with the majority. Good thing there is a wow game that meets your expectaions
Not gonna quote the rest but you obviously have no knowledge of swtor and picking your ill conceived notions apart towards it isnt worth the time.
They were good games, for their time. The latter part of that is the key. Playing them today gets boring fast. Sometimes going back to play EPIC games can be awesome fun, for a weekend.
I spent countless hours on Dark Age of Camelot in 2001-2003, but logging on it today makes my eyeballs sweat.
The reason you want to go back to an old game “just the way it was” is because your mind isn’t organizing the information properly and/or you are majoritively an emotional being rather than a rational one.
My friends and I went back to play Dark Age of Camelot a year ago. They are very emotional beings, I am rational. They said they loved it, but in reality, I could tell they weren’t actually enjoying it. They would tell me they were, but they actually were not. They were essentially medicinally roleplaying, as odd as that sounds. I had WAY MORE FUN than they did with that game back in the 2001 era too and they wouldn’t argue against that. The script flipped.
Being rational, you would go back and realize you don’t actually spend much time playing games like KotoR anymore and like I said, its a weekend warrior adventure.
In short, the forces of relativity and modernity (time) mathematically counteract direct nostalgic experience in the present version of yourself.
If you said you really love Warcraft III (2001), I would believe you and immediately inquire about your usage of the Map Editor software or Esports interests. The editor gives you control and changes the game to keep it spicy; i.e. adding new abilities to heroes to mix things up. Competitive Esports has unending narrative to the extent that your eyeballs don’t sweat like mine do when I look at DAOC’s or Everquest’s now-atrocious graphics.
Lastly noting, the changes I recommend are absolutely MINIMAL. Double Jump for Rogues and adjusting +agility +spirit plate armor drops will not hurt you and ruin your nostalgic fun time. You will be safe and it will be ok. Hope that was clear and thank you
P.S. I was a celebrity on my SwtoR server and dominated in PvP. I LOVED that game. But its a bad game. I can distinguish WHY via rationality.
I enjoyed SwtoR < dramatic pause > because I love Star Wars
I agree with you. They are great, period. Legendary even. Today however, those games’ replay-ability and longevity are a target of concern. Putting in 20 hours a week like many people do with WoW would be insane past the 1 month mark and you know that. That is all I am saying mate.
If Classic WoW servers get proper treatment, they could have more players on them than the BfA servers. And with that I leave you with a claim. Classic Servers will not be popular in the long run. People will love them for about 2-5 months before going on a yearly hiatus. I could be wrong and I am interested in the topic so I continue to read everyone’s comments, so thanks for the feedback.
I’d congratulate you, but it’s the same basic thing we’ve seen a million times, so even being invested in it only gets you up to 3/10. Come up with something original next time.
I agree with the original post. I don’t think he is trolling. Classic is going to be boring just as is bro. They need to do a little SOMETHING, but be cautious as to not compromise the nostalgic vanilla vibes.
Don’t forget that he claims was also celebrity on his SWTOR server, and in another thread he claims to have been master league in solo ranked in HOTS.
He must be God’s gift to videogames, and we should all be thankful that he deigns to grace us lowly scrubs with his presence in game or even communicate with us.
Since purchasing Dragon Age: Inquisition, I’ve played Dragon Age: Origins more than Inquisition. A good game is ageless. I reject your arguments, because I reject the premise that old games are inherently worse than new games by nature.
