Mains endure even when their spec is “C+” tier , you are simply a meta slave, a chaser of glory you will never achieve because you will never have the skill of someone who has stuck with their true spec for 20 years
Are you ok ? who hurt you like that.
Who harmed him?
The cowardly fools who willingly enslave themselves to the dread-god Meta.
I have 4-5 mains and I play most their specs. And I end up doing harder content with whatever is best at the time because it’s more enjoyable.
Most of my alts are probably better geared than your best geared character.
Outside of maining new classes during the xpac (Mists, legion, and df) i have mained warrior since late mists.
Sorry that you have a stick up your bum when it comes to the meta? Im not sure how to respond.
I change my main because I get bored of playing the same class every season. Guess my Hpal during DF S4 makes me a tier obsessor.
I could be S tier. I was technically for S1 TWW and I still play worse than an F tier.
So I just stick to my class. If anything when FDK goes back to dumpster tier, I’ll be on par
Did they just nerf monk or something? I do believe that most Augs are frauds though.
I kinda get the sentiment, but at the same time, as long as the player is having fun, they’re doing it right. Doesn’t matter if it’s with the same spec/class for years or if it’s a different one every patch. Fun’s always the ultimate goal with a game in my book.
Is their a rule that “main” means to the grave?
Play what is fun to you, it’s your money after all.
Oh please. I change to whatever the meta says is the worst spec in each patch. That’s how a real alpha dog plays. Get on my level.
someone got booted for doing lvl dps and is doing forum cope
Why are you so bothered about what people choose to main?
Yes I’ll play what I enjoy from patch to patch rather than allowing Blizzard to control the quality of my experience for months or years at a time while whining about how I’m being neglected on the forums.
Works out in my favor.
I think spec experience is heavily over valued in wow. Is it worth something? Sure, but not a whole lot because wow is a game where execution isn’t the difficult part, it’s knowing what to do and that changes constantly for everyone.
The reason so many people reroll to stronger performing specs is because the potential of those specs is far more of a determining factor for their output than their experience or lack of experience with that spec.
If blizzard left my favorite classes in my favorite iterations of them, I would move around less. Sometimes a spec is a miserable experience and sometimes it isn’t. I’m at the point where I can play every class but rogue at a reasonable level due to migrating due to playstyle changes and filling for roles. Rip aff, rip dot classes being dot classes, rip ashen hollow, rip chain harvest, rip legion/bfa void form, rip mm hunter lmao, rip ranged survival, rip primordial wave…
Very much this.
I’m not gonna pretend that I don’t get a little annoyed internally when I see people blatantly reroll to whatever’s best that patch, but at the same time, I know I have more fun with my characters when I perform better. For me, that’s just gearing as much as I can and playing as well as I can with the spec I’m on. But I could see why some people would instead switch characters entirely for basically the same reasons.
There’s also merit in switching to a meta spec if you primarily pug, especially in an M+ environment. Being meta means easier invites. Pugging as DPS can be hell when it comes to getting invites, especially if you aren’t ahead of the gear / score curve. Being meta helps with that and therefore make the game a more enjoyable experience because you’re spending less time waiting and more time playing.
ITT a person who rerolled to OPs “main” spec absolutely blew him out of the water and he’s pissed.
