wow blizz is doing everything to get money they can. I wont renew my sub until classic comes out. If they are going to block me from talking on the forums until then, thats fine.

They should only be blocking people without subs from talking on General Discussion, which is how it’s always been.
If they wanted to restrict the Classic Discussion forums, they’d have done so a year ago when they put this place up.
For those who have not noticed yet. This is NOT intentional. Posting on other forums is not meant to be viable for non-subbed members.
They always have the option of restricting Classic Discussion. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did after it launches, or even some time before.

Not only can you not post if you do not have a sub, you cannot post unless you have a level ten character.
They’re just going to have to remake the old forum they just deleted for classic anyway.
What, you want phone forums for classic? That’s not authentic.

Yeah I really cannot stand this new design at all. Older forums were not broken, why fix them?

My problem with newer formats like this that are more mobile friendly is all of the wasted space. I don’t use my phone for casual web surfing and I know I’m in the minority but damn why does everything need to be so spread out.
And RIP my scroll wheel. That’s clearly a mobile oriented feature.

I suspect that was intentional. Seems it bothered Blizzard as much as it “bothered” a few forum members.
If you won’t accept what people say without looking at their character, what makes you think you would accept it with a higher level character? – and if I wanted to give evidence that was related to a character of mine, I’d post on a relevant character.
They could have also fixed this by allowing profiles to be searched of characters <10. Now, I have to have a level 10+ character, which largely serves the same purpose except that people can see how many times I’ve cleared Deadmines.
Mobile browsers already had the continuous scrolling feature in the forums. Desktops are becoming a dying breed and all businesses are aware of that.

The forum they just deleted wouldn’t have been authentic either, since the forums had been totally redone post-Classic already.
IIRC, twice, but I might be misremembering.
I think you’re right. First one was done around WotLK time and second was pretty recent.
The first one I was permanently banned from the old forums and came back. The second lost the ability to link items.
This would be the third major overhaul, though the “major” part for this one is just in how the mechanics work and not really a “look-and-feel” kind of update.
Speaking of which, does anybody know off hand if linking items works again?
They fixed that fast! I’m unsubbed and can’t post there. Really though as long as we have one current expansion max level toon we should be able to post even without a sub. Can’t exactly tell them the issues that made us walk, and what would bring us back, if we can’t post.
