Everything you just said is rubbish. There is no universe that exists in which you are right. You are arguing to argue for the sake of arguing. Just stop.
Yeah, if you’re progging on a boss, or if it’s not a complete cakewalk, it’s not a great idea to use that stuff haphazardly. I’m not saying people should do this willy-nilly, but that people do, in fact, use this stuff to avoid mechanics to parse higher.
This is your version of attacking someone. I just want you to re-read it so that you feel silly.
Nope. Just because the word ‘why’ in there, doesn’t mean that’s the reason for the belief.
I dunno, when a person says they believe something and attach a why to it, it kinda becomes self evident at that point. A why before a reason is generally the biggest clue.

Attack, challenged, accused, accosted, pick your verb. I didn’t mean to imply that you emotionally hurt or offended them, only that you created conflict from what they actually said, and what you wanted it to mean.
Edit:

I’m beginning to doubt your literacy at this point. They literally said: “I think this, which is why I believe that.” Their words are right there for everyone to read.
only that you created conflict from what they actually said, and what you wanted it to mean.
Are you sure there was conflict? Its an open dialogue in which they responded in kind with a well thought out post acknowledging they struggle with making generalized statements. What is it exactly you are trying to accomplish here going off topic and arguing a point that has nothing to do with anything?

Be careful, you dont want to come across as “attacking me”.
At the end of the day one of is posting on our main and one is showing cowardice hiding behind a level 10. I wouldnt wanna stand behind my words when they are utter rubbish and all I do is seek conflict to appear smarter than I am on a forum for a video game.
This was an attack.

Soak used swipe

Yes. Conflict can be the basis for any dialogue. I think you’re deliberating taking the worst possible takes of any word in order to feign outrage and to ridicule, which is a sign of a bad faith position.

Pointing out your attempt to tell someone what they do, or do not believe a bad take, and that you can (and should) do better to honestly engage with people versus whatever you call your antics.
This is true, i’ve also seen people avoid mechanics in retail wow and ff14 because “mah parse”.
I’m not anti-parse but I’ve always thought that fire on the ground/mechanics could also put some sort of cripple/damage debuff on the player that ignores the mechanic.
If ignoring a mechanic only puts pressure on a healer or dispeller, then DPS will be tempted to ignore it. If standing in the fire gives a stacking damage debuff you know the DPS will be sure to move.
You could also have bosses place a -damage/+threat aura on the player who lands the first hit to make antsy DPS think twice.
All one has to do is look at his posting history to see every single post is made in opposition of another’s stance, and done so in an aggressive manner. The guy adds no value to these forms only presents conflict.
So let me get this straight. You are against calling someone out for making stereotypes. Got it.

Yawn.

At least now I and everyone else knows not to take you seriously and to discard everything you say as worthless trolling. Thank you for your honesty!
O I’m aware, I just can’t pass up the pun
Yawn.
You no longer amuse me with responses like this. This is what people do when they have no rebuttal to an opposing view.

Could always do what FF14 does:
Get hit by a mechanic, get a stacking debuff that means you take more damage, and you get a reduced damage output as well. Now not doing mechanics to “parse well” translates into deliberately being a detriment to your group.
FF14 also doesnt allow dps meter discussion in game and punishes those who do it.
which leads to a nicer community that tries to teach people. Though there are people who still even refuse to learn how to play in ff14 and get kicked and not invited in the future.
and for context i know the whole log and discussion of this thread is for people who refuse to learn and to adapt. Just wanted to put in my 2 cents.

I’ve never played FFXIV but that’s cool and exactly what I was thinking.
