Studies show that people who are succesful in game tend to excel in all aspects of life, including IRL.
This is objectively false. If your raid does enough dps you can ignore the adds on vicious fallout and just dps. This doesn’t mean the healers heal more, it means you literally negate the mechanic.

have you never been in a bad group before sometimes it really is out of your control and then you’re saddled with some crappy parses, I want to wait till I can get my alt into a guild run so I can get a set of good parses AND THEN I’ll feel comfortable doing some random pug fun times

Some people play the game to parse, this is how they get enjoyment. Some guilds do the same. Some guilds are literally put together to get individuals parses and if its not a 100 parse they wipe on purpose. Everyone plays the game for different reasons, you thinking any of them are dumb is a you thing.

I am grateful for logs as they let me avoid trap raids that will wipe.
Without logs I might join the wrong pug and have hours of my life stolen from me because someone is too lazy to use YouTube.

I know its a me thing, i know people do it for fun. But I think Video games are meant for casual fun, not being sweaty try hards. Which is why I also believe these very same people put self worth on their accomplishments in video games because its all they have. I got no problem with people saying my view point is dumb and a me thing though. If anything it just helps with who i need to avoid and who i can befriend.

At least i’m not sitting on my 25 night elf hunter in SoD and stopped playing him because Blizzard nerfed my ability to 1 shot everyone in game. So now i’m here on the forums crying over everyone else’s opinions.
