This is not a troll post. I tested this out today. I have looted the rare each time in the same group four times and I finally got it. The first time I got it some blue items, times two and three I got a grey item and I got the mount on the fourth time.
I have also noticed increased spawn times today.

i looted it twice the other night, ofc my luck is terrible so i got nothing of worth, but yes can confirm you can loot it more than once a day
