During the first boss, there is a bug where if you clip the top and middle of the shipi was coughing You get stuck in the middle and cant leave cuz there are barriers blocking the way out. Only way out is to die. I shouldnt get a deserter buff cuz i get glitched through a floor.

Unless they really messed up, death doesn’t give you the debuff. The last time I rand Dawnbreaker I got stuck because I landed on the stairs and get trapped under them. Took a couple of minutes to worm my way out…
They kicked be cuz i died at the boss which teleports you right in front of the boss and we continue the dungeon. Not sure why they did it i could se eall 4 of em. She does an aoe that goes through the ship. i stood in it cuz all exits were blocked with cratesbefore boss fight so cant leave.
Ahhh… So you got it due to the group kicking you. Honestly, I were probably better off if that is why they kicked you.

This happened to me. I was with friends so it was all good, but yeah it sucks.
For the future, if you get stuck in geometry again just teleport out and back into the dungeon
