I mean in SWtOR you take down 2 empires single handedly and the random smuggler still thinks they can take you! I’m not sure the lack of logic is limited to Azeroth

Also the anime “The Legendary Hero is Dead”, this happens the all powerful hero dies to something silly in the first 5 mins.
Reminds me of that awesome questline in Cataclysm-Silverpine, when Sylvanas got shot dead by Lord Godfrey.
Freaking Lord Godfrey killed the Banshee Queen with a bullet.
It was rather unceremonious, too lol. She just fell over.
It would’ve been awesome if she just died then and there, would’ve saved so much lore in the process, lmfao.

They know we’re puppets. Of what? They’re not sure - I don’t think many even dare to think of us. Nefarian theorized our masters were from a plane beyond Azeroth. The Lich king saw unlimited power in us and wished to wield it.
In this case, the primalists are about, in theory, free will. Breaking free from the chains of Order. We’re just a walking death automaton to them. Barely alive.

I think you overestimate how us “champions” look. We kinda bumble and stumble around into victory… a lot.
NPCs probably see us more as this:
