Except you can’t. The only way to feel more powerful after you level cap is with gear.

Step 1: Level up
Step 2: get loot
Step 3: get transmog to look good in said gear.
Step 4: If I have time (and I dont) get mounts or gold.

Been the way ive played since the start.

And that’s true, but each player needs to decide how far they want to push it. Time is what you’re rewarded for.

Not me. Im too obsessed with having fun, which i cant do when im not powerful enough to handle more than 2 mobs at a time.

Which is not happening anymore. You do not feel powerful in Retail anymore like in years past. Their mob scaling non sense makes sure to let you know the game just grows with you instead of you outgrowing the power of the game. It makes all of it feel redundant.

I can do a lot of things. That doesn’t mean I want to do them in a game I play for fun.

You can handle more than 2 world mobs at a time without any gear on.

It would also make the game more fun if there was better gear progression in the game. I would hope Blizzard wants the game to be as good as possible, not merely “good enough”.

Not to mention I do kind of need that gear to stay relevant if I enjoy doing casual BGs like I do. I’ll just get utterly curb stomped by people in far better gear if I’m capped out at ilvl ~200.

You can still do that even if they fixed the gear progression in the game.
