Vanish has been bugged since vanilla and feign death doesn’t work either when the game bugs out and you are stuck in combat.

try reload or logging off and back on. maybe the game just froze half way. or use a mana bomb on the zone… yeah that might work too.

where is this happening?

i see people complaining about this all the time… but the only time i’ve ever had this happen, is when i’m actually in combat.

…either by running past npcs which are fighting with each other, or by scaring a critter.

What class were you on? This happens to me the most with my monk if I’m in WW and a mob dies while I am channeling fists of fury. It will keep me in combat for like 10 seconds afterwards. If the mob doesn’t die during the channel, then I get out of combat immediately.

Ah yes, the bug that causes a critter purge in the entire zone.
