No. I am not, Blizzard. Stop this. Fix this. This might actually be the most irritating thing about the game right now.
I’ve only had this happen in Mechagon.
Ah, it’s good to main a Night Elf!
What sux is that feign death rarely works to get you out of combat these days.
Happened to me a lot in Highmountain also.
I have been seeing this a lot more recently. to the point I have logged off on classes that don’t have a stealthy/agro break option.
And sometimes that doesn’t even work.
I’m a bit sad I faction changed. I’d love shadowmeld back.
This is super annoying. I ran from southeast Asuna to Highmountain before I threw myself off a cliff to reset it yesterday.
This happens to me in the Vale and is an added reason as to why I hate it…
Shadowmeld one of the big reasons I faction changed, honestly. It’s so useful in so many situations; and since I heal a lot of mythic+, it just makes my life better in general.
This has been a thing on and off since Vanilla. I don’t know how it hasn’t been fixed yet.
Player characters need an “Evade” spell. Using this will check to see if monsters you’re in combat with can actually attack/reach you, and if not, it’ll make you evade combat and reset it, just like NPCs do.
Kinda funny how this bug has somehow persisted since I started playing over a decade ago.
But its been extra bad lately.
Yep this is so true, in fact I think feign death fails far more than it works these days.
As others have said, this has always been a problem here or there, but I’ve really noticed an increase in Vale Assaults.
Seriously. Unless I’m on my Mage or Rogue, I feel like I have to run across half the zone to get it to rubber band back.
And yeah, Feign Death is a joke. I’ve used that and had my Hunter pop right back up like I didn’t use it.
Here you go, throw this at Blizzard:
I love this meme generator.
(Also, hearth when that happens. Fixes it 9/10 times for me. Yes you can Hearth in combat. So long as nothing is actively hitting you to interrupt the cast.)
Getting stuck in combat is a bug that’s existed since Vanilla, it’s not new. I am surprised it’s stuck around this long, but I suppose that just means it’s a particularly difficult bug to fix.
Shadowmeld is not just good to get out of combat, it’s great as a tank to drop aggro in raids in case the off tank forgets to taunt.
I sometimes use it in dungeons where some DPS goes bonkers and pulls an entire room and I shadowmeld and watch them die to the mobs
I don’t recall ever dealing with it till like the very end of WOD or the start of legion and I played since early 2005.
