I noticed recently that Yolo rbgs often have “Link something”, “2k xp” and other weird requirements/expectations.
Back in my days yolo meant yolo as in you take anyone that comes along, fill the group and queue ASAP.
Did the definition of Yolo change in the last 4 expansions?

Ignore those clowns. YOLO should only discriminate on team comp, e.g. you can’t have 9 melee. Otherwise, criteria aren’t YOLO. I put “RBG for Quests” in the title.

It’s better to just form your own Yolo group. Easy to do if that’s all you want to do is fill and queue. But if you actually want to know that people are actually mildly familiar with RBGs and know what to do and when, then it’s okay for people to want some sort of XP.
When I level up my other toon to 60, I’m just gonna make yolo groups on that toon, no restrictions.
Yolo to me means no voice bgs but to accept someone with no pvp experience is foolish

There are yolo 2k CR groups every day … kind of an oxymoron but what do I know .
We’ll come up with a new name then.
Lead 4 yolo last night, won 2 lost 2. The 2 loss were seething shore and victory in warsong 3-0 and Deepwind Gorge close game.
Our team had 1 tank 1 healer 8 dps. For warsong they had 1/3/6 and deepwind 1/1/8 .
Its was fun tho and we were able to unlock weekly vault + weekly quest.

shouldnt have a rider affixed to them-- otherwise you are doing PUSH groups, where you are pushing Mythic Keys or pushing to 2100 as an example rating.
Otherwise jut take players to get to quests done.

I think YOLO these days just means no comms.
I personally dont like comms cuz people tend to rage, so I go for yolos that have an ilvl requirement and use chat for comms. Went 3-1 today in one.
Word definitions seem to have reached a state of totally fluidity these days. People seem to just decide they want to use a word because they like how it sounds, and then proceed to use it indiscriminately, without regard to it’s definition, until it no longer has any meaning at all.
From what I have seen, YOLO means you can expect everyone to bail as soon as you lose a game.
A lot of new players have joined since Shadowlands. Also a lot of people who haven’t done pvp since WoD or prior are playing PvP now. Yolo means yolo. So its not foolish. Those groups should be called 2k+ mmr RBGs
