Yolo rated battlegrounds

A lot of people need to learn what actual yolos are. You aren’t a yolo group having 1 tank 3 healers and 6 dps.

ofc its a yolo.
Not being free wins for other teams doesnt make you non yolo lol

Its literally not.

““YOLO” is an acronym for “you only live once”. Along the same lines as the Latin carpe diem, it is a call to live life to its fullest extent, even embracing behavior which carries inherent risk.”

Taking people who don’t normally play rated BGs (aka lower ranked people) or a comp that isn’t meta (aka not 5 boomkins, lol) would be “an inherent risk” and therefore, even if you take 1/3/6 you would still literally, be partaking in a ‘YOLO’ RBG.

Copium tbh

Yolo could be anything honestly. People doing 1 - 3 - 6 doesn’t mean it’s not a yolo.

YOLO has always just meant the casual version of rated battlegrounds. But since there’s so few people doing them nowadays, that’s why you get some silly “yolo” groups that are rather convoluted by definition now…

Comp has nothing to do with it. What makes a yolo a yolo is everyone is walking into this understanding we are probably going to lose, but who knows we might win.

I miss those days. We went from taking about just anyone that would apply to the yolo group to now having criterias and quite often also requiring some sort of chat.

When I Yolo, I take the first 9 people to join and we Queue ASAP.

Time in Queue and in RBGS > Time waiting for a “comp”

With everything deflated and anyone still playing needing full vault you end up with absolute monsters at 1400 a lot of the time. YOLO groups today really just means no comms or expectations but willfully ignoring comp just endures an instant loss and almost no conq/honor.

Doesn’t mean you need a GDru and three holy priests just to queue (look at me, I hit 1500 as a friggin BDK in yolo), but means unless you want to waste your time, the days of 0/2/8 with three outlaw rogues and an arcane mage are over
