Yo Dazaralor is way worse than Boralus

I just transfered to Horde and holy moly the layout of Dazaralor is crazy.

Yea, it sucked with out Pathfinder but I find it more pleasing to look at then boralus…but for the sake of getting to every thing fast boralus I mean it’s all 50 feet from everything

This thread is like 18 months too late lol.

The Layout is terrible unless you have gliders, then it’s actually super fun to get around. That being said, I think it looks beautiful.

Hi, long time alliance player this expansion, relatively new to horde. It was crazy at first to me too, but you do get used to it. Other than Must Love Stairs I actually prefer the pyramid to the port, it’s a bit tougher to get around but much more flavorful.

Looks nice, sucks to get around though. Boralus > Dazor for me.

DA suffers from the problem Blizz ran into with Bladespire Citadel. It’s too damn big and Blizz does not know what to fill it with so portions of it look rattling-ly empty.

Both the Bazaar and Docks might as well be separate zones; in spite of there being city amenities there, the total lack of rested area, trade chat, or guards (to give directions) definitely remind you of how ill-designed it is.

It’s beautiful, no doubt. It’s less laggy than Boralus too. With Pathfinder, Dazar Alor is bearable.

Agree here. Don’t mind navigating levels so much as the unnecessary and lifeless space while everyone is either in the hall or by the docks.

Yeah, it was designed to be a raid so Alliance got the good city. Horde bias!

Yeah, they probably should have noticed there was a problem when they needed to add four flight paths just to get around the place, not including the speed boosts you can get from quests.

Disagree to a point. Are there other players scattered around all of it? No. But there is detail, beauty, and story everywhere. I absolutely love it, and even before flying was available the Pa’ku totems gave swift travel around the ziggurat city.

Blizzard could have saved a great deal of criticism regarding travel in Dazar’alor had they simply changed the Pa’ku totem at the Great Seal to carry players to the vendor/scrapper side of the pyramid’s base rather than up to the rarely-visited Golden Throne. Two other Pa’ku totems already exist at the base - one that carries players up to the Great Seal within a few seconds, and another that carries rapidly to the port area of the ziggurat (where the totem at which you land also carries players rapidly back to the base of this pyramid).

As I said before, it’s a DH expansion. Looks great with flight, I’ll give you that.

it grows on you, I actually hated it when I first got there. and even after getting flying (which made getting around it much more bearable) I still wasn’t totally sold on it.
but just the other day I was perched on one of the spires and was looking around and got struck by how gorgeous the city really is, and how different it is from any other capital hub we’ve had before. i’m legit gonna miss it.

It was enough for me to transfer back to the alliance (pre-flight) It really is THAT bad.

For a second I thought you were a Blood Elf with a blue background and it was bugged… now I see that you’re just really into the color blue for some reason.

Dazar’alor is hands down the WORST city ever put into wow. I hate so much.

As a zone its great.

Lots of story/lore to the different areas. It looks beautiful.

As a functional city its horrible. Even with flight.

I love the city itself but I agree that navigating it without pathfinder is a nightmare.

yeah and you guys talk about horde bias, see the kind of suffering we go through every day?
