recognizing a voice actor/actress.

the other day, i was watching the 2004 ‘the batman’ cartoon (i was bored), and recognized dan castellaneta’s voice! felt good about myself all day.
was watching some old king of the hill episodes, and recognized phil lamarr’s voice too!

as for in WoW, i’ve also recognized Jim Cummings, and Wendee Lee’s voices on here, and that made me feel good. knowing festus krex, and lady aribeth’s voice-actors were in WoW…

now, why did i make this thread? well… i need a little confirmation about certain npc’s voice. Glania of the blessed ones. i could swear, she’s voiced by tara strong, but i’m not 100% certain. is there any way of finding out? you’d be doing me a favor, and help scratch an itch in my brain. :slight_smile:

I actually get more satisfaction out of recognizing a character voice, from another character they have voiced, without knowing the name of the voice actor.

He’s contractually obligated to have at least one role in every game n animated series/movie

same, but that’s when i look-up the voice actor/actress and learn who they are, and what characters they’ve voiced. :slight_smile:

…kinda like when i found out Clancy Brown was hank in detroit: become human. kept picturing him as mr.krabs while watching let’s-plays of that game.

Cherami Leigh did the voice of Niya in Ardenweald and she is also Makoto Niijima in Persona 5.

i’ve never played a persona game, so it’s not that impactful to me, but hey! that’s still pretty neat.

I know I should probably give more appreciation to the artists that bring my favourite characters to life (especially voice actors as compared to live action stars who society idolises) … but then I go down this slippery slope of analysing all the marginalised occupations in our society and think… yeah our societal values are messed up.

Yeah, I am probably a little older than you, Clancy Brown will always ALWAYS be The Kurgan!! to me.

i… don’t quite recognize that name, but he was also that viking-guy from gargoyles, and lex luthor from justice league… i recognize him from there too, but mister-krabbs is just the first character that popped into my head. :laughing:

edit: wait so… he was in highlander? man… that’s one of those movies i still need to see…
