I made my own and tried it a little. Didn’t feel too bad. I see snupy’s version and I agree with 1-2 of his choices so I may tweak mine and see how that goes. Feral still puts out some great damage so.
The nerfs are more than 18% to rip. Mind u dreadful bleeding nerfed 5% and circle was 5% decompressed, this is a nerf to every dot in feral kit. Rip is down roundabouts 30%. Rake 23%. With taste for blood buff and bite nerf, if I use rip and tear trash rake, and have the stars align my average bite 5-10% higher. But given rip and rake made up of easily 50% of sustained damage pre patch. The dam is non competitive. with nerfs to Regen u r forced more defensive meaning uptime is a touch lower as well. 10% nerf to FF means even with a touch higher bites, the burst is the same. We lose a great deal if we go for clone. So feral really has nothing.
Basically feral is screwed unless people call for proper tuning with primal wrath bleed application, and the single target nerfs reverted. Feral has mediocre CC, lackluster damage, mediocre survivability, absolute trash offheals. I’ve gone up 15 spots in solo haven’t qued and that’s in less than 3 days. Spell ID on primal wrath from rip needs to be nerfed 18%. And all the changes reverted. Feral single target was mid before prepatch, right now it’s complete and utter dog C-B tier outside of primal wrath which is somehow nerfed less than single target… lol. Rip when applied on its own was not OP. Basically blizzard didn’t want to take the time to address the actual problems so they are removing the class from competitive PvP. Feral is one of if not the most complicated classes to manage. If u don’t have a deep knowledge of the class u are going to screw it up like the person who balanced it in 10.0.5 did.
I read and hear ya. I’m not gonna lie though, between my experience and watching snupy still succeed both with an aoe and st build even in high cr SS, I’m not entirely convinced feral is “dead.” I think it’s still viable. I think you need to play well to actually succeed instead of being carried by the spec and ultimately I think that’s a good thing.
I mean if I have played feral or any other class for that matter, for the length he has, then yeah it wouldn’t matter as much but even he’s saying how these nerfs are not called for especially the survivability. Toning down the cleave from PW is totally fine but I’m honestly feeling like I do so much less damage than ever before.
His time played doesn’t give him different damage modifiers though. I’m just saying the spec can still do well. He even said it doesn’t feel like it matters much.
