And what does that get me now that I’m in 13s category…perma DECLINE, DECLINE, DECLINE
Once you get to 13+ keys if you ain’t a shammy or even druid it seems no one wants you. Last season was perma instant chain invite to any group you wanted. Really blows! 3rd night in a row end up just logging off after an hour of being afk in dorn from the never ending DECLINE. I guess this is the end of the season for me.
I wish blizzard would proactively try to keep healers and tanks for that matter fairly balanced and competitive with each other, given those 2 roles have the biggest shortages in the queue system and are the direct reason most DPS can’t even get 1 key done in 3 hours of queuing.
Ah well, was hoping to push for title this season after an entire expansion of practicing to become a better healer, but I guess that’s not in the cards currently.
Yep aug PoV for the past season or two. I just stopped playing after KSM this season, will probably go for KSH, as usual, but just gonna wait till people are doing +30s and people don’t care what you are for 10s.

This doesn’t seem like a good decision to me. Shammy and druids are absolutely DOMINATING the M+ leaderboards with every key. ALL the other healers are non existent.
I feel like tanks are super balanced right now, all are doing good (except blood) but the role in-itself is just not fun. If they brought back big tank damage it might see more play, just a hard role to get people to want to do in general, super daunting for new players.
Healers are just always “play this 1 spec or no invite” I feel like. I don’t have much experience on healer tho so I can’t say much about them.
It’s just the nature of an infinitely scaling system. Eventually, people feel the need to only take what works best, instead of whoever is reasonably qualified.
Not saying there shouldn’t be changes made to healers if it’s really that out of whack, but this will happen even if things are closer.
If prot warrior (I believe it is prot warrior could be another) becomes meta then we will probably see disc moving into meta. All the key streamers and top pushers specifically choose those healers for a reason, Rsham pairs really well with the best tanks right now and is just strong in general. Disc might need some buffs still tho.

people decline for any number of reasons, and tbf i imagine a lot of people had plenty of bad experiences with disc last season. but two days ago a friend and i got declined for a 13 because we had a holy priest with us. 3.3k ww and myself plus a holy priest who needed the key at a 13. some folks just take the meta stuff to serious.
That is strange because of the four top RWF teams against Dimensius, each ran four healers and only one out of 16 was a Restoration Shaman. I wonder, what do these guilds that are declining you know that the top four RWF teams didn’t know?
I am talking about M+ specifically. I don’t care about raids. Your more then welcome to look at Raider IO for the M+ leaderboards. Its only shammy and druids. Resto Sham is currently the ONLY real healer to consider bringing to +14s and beyond.
I’ve been healing for years now. This crap never happened to this degree before. It all started last season with disc priest. Now it’s happening again with shaman and even some druid. I’m also closing in on 3k. I didn’t do any keys over 10 until this week as I didn’t have any set pieces. But it’s almost as bad as last season.
The funniest part about it is that this time there really isn’t a reason for it. Last season, disc priest was the most broken thing I’ve ever seen since I started healing. But shaman and druid? I’m kinda lost on this one. I feel like any difference is at least somewhat marginal this time, and perception has just gotten outta hand.
I’m joking. Sorry for the bad experiences I hope you get a good group to do 13s with soon. The communities like WME and stuff are good for finding specific keys and usually run with their own folks.
I use wme all the time for low keys and alts, and occasionally for higher keys. I’ve had one good 13 there last season at this same point. Maybe I’ll see if they’ve caught up yet.
Congrats your at the key range where at this point in the season your likelyhood of getting invited reduces by a solid 95% if you’re not one of the specs that raiderIO tells people they should invite.
being an off meta DPS spec is 10x worse, trust me.
Yeah I can imagine. Though I’m so far out of the loop anymore that I don’t even know what the meta is for dps. I always just try to invite specs that are relatively tanky or have good defensives
