Yet another RDF post

Already logged onto my character and posted on both of them. Do you want me to do a dance competition with you?

I’m not wasting any more time on you, you are welcome to log on and I can easily invalidate your existence lol, keep on clearing content years after launch and keep up with that 30 parsing rogue, maybe you will beat me in wrath classic? (LOL)

threads muted, have fun responding to yourself

Coward and lobby player detected

It is actually funny that they would miss that.
But context is hard for them.

So RDF is popular and those that want it to be excluded are the extreme minority.

If you are a sweaty that wants things to take forever and be “challenging” wouldn’t making it harder to find groups improve your experience. Everyone else can use the RDF and have fun playing the game the way they want to play it not the way you want them to.

Comments about going to play other games are so disingenuous and lack any thought whatsoever. Obviously people want to play wrath because of content and class design. Adding RDF does not make classic = retail. lol

Also, you don’t always have the option to kick, have you not been asking for a tank for 30 mins to finally get one and have him say he won’t be moving to instance and expects to be summoned? Are you gonna risk taking another 30 mins to finds another? Not everyone has time to do so, or find only getting to run one dungeon a day because it took 2 hours to find group and finish it enjoyable.

Because they dont launch the expansion as it was launched. They launch with the majority of the changes that were made. Why should this one matter more than any other. We recognize the changes that were made were for the better and are ok with them being in at launch.

For example, dks were way overpowered at launch and were nerfed to a realistic level by the last patch. That last patch is the one they will start with. Not a peep from you about that. So the same should come from you about lfd timing. Not a peep. Just dont use it. Is that so hard for you? You want to complain about something you can easily not use. Get over it.

RDF is a modern approach to gaming. It’s non-traditional to it’s approach and it’s more akin to short games such as FPS/Moba. Because the social interaction is only contained within the scope of that given activity and there is no “exploration” in those games. When you add a feature that delegates a social aspect of the game to automated system you’re changing the socialization formula of the game. You’re creating a retail/modern version of a product if you’re distancing yourself away from the original core social aspects.

Now one could say they’re adding a feature to make socialization easier just as they did for TBC where you can visually see people looking for a particular activity that is server based. But the RDF route is a crossrealm feature intended for anti-social, lazy, and/or underpopulated servers. Two of which need to be addressed by the players themselves and the population problem could be handled via server merges.

The difference in your analogy is that the tank you’re referencing is exclusively from your server and not from a different one. Certain hours of the day people aren’t playing and if you tend to be a player who plays during the day go play on a server with a community of daytime players. That same lazy tank could be frustrating with his unwillingness to travel but, you either deal with it or don’t deal with it. It’s no different from real life when dealing with new people. Either you blackball them for being a loser or accept the conditions that the tank laid out to you.

Also your lack of time suggests that the content this game provides doesn’t suit you and you’re better going to a different one if you’re bound to such a limited time window. Also we’re talking about Wrath dungeons here as well which permitted reputation gains via tabards rather than a strict dungeon and they’re equivalent to normal TBC dungeons on Heroic mode for some of the content. If you’re having trouble getting someone to join your group look for a better server that caters to your hours.

The version of flying we get in Classic Wrath will most likely be 150%, but that was a change made midway through the expansion.

Wrath initially launched with 60% flying speed so he’s not incorrect in his recollection.

Hi yeah uhhhh Wrath originally released with no changes made to the non-epic version of flying. Same costs as it is in TBC and same 60% movement speed.

It wasn’t until the middle of the expansion that they changed both of these by lowering the cost and making non-epic flying 150%.

Kinda funny you’re bashing him for saying that he “never played Wrath” when clearly you didn’t start playing from the beginning of Wrath.

You didn’t make any error.

Wrath originally launched with absolutely no changes to the way flying mounts worked. The crowd of people bashing you for saying that you’re wrong are the exact crowd of people I expected would be pushing for RDF to be implemented; They’re probably people who only started playing Wrath at the end of the expansion.

In 3.2, mounts were changed to a lower cast time (1.5 seconds down from 3), you could get a ground mount at level 20 with a reduced cost, you could get a flying mount at level 60 with a reduced cost, and non-epic flying was changed to 150% movement speed.

It’s almost like none of these people played Wrath before then, but yet here you are getting flamed for “not having played Wrath” when they clearly didn’t start playing Wrath until after 3.2.

That’s what I thought but it’s been a long time so I understand if I’m wrong.

what a disaster, how does blizz take a slam dunk of re releasing the most beloved expac and find a way to mess with it. PLEASE have RDF at launch. I just resubbed today over the wotlk classic hype and just found out about this. really kills the mood.

Current designers could screw anything up, not really a surprise, one of the reason a lot of people want classic and nothing to do with retail… (myself included). *They need to keep what they think classic should have been out of it…

I have no confidence in them coming up with a better system for it.

First,
There is room for both kinds of game play. Offer servers that have RDF enabled and Servers that do not. The population will tell you which one they prefer.

Second,
I don’t understand why what I believe, a minority is being catered to, on a piece of the game that was part of the original game. What’s next the anti-dual spec people getting their way next?

Then it looks like they don’t have time to play the game

Driving players from the game. Fantastic business strategy.

Potential players who won’t even be opting in to Wrath now because of this change will also be unavailable for you to play with.
