Yet another complaint about unlocking the allied races

Most specifically the void elf … write ups say “just complete two steps” to unlock the void elf…
.
It’s NOT just two (2) steps to unlock that from scratch… two steps would be , 1. go to the embassy in Stormwind , click on the banner to get the ‘talk to NPCx’ quest. 2. talk to NPCx to confirm the unlock. … done. THATS TWO STEPS…
.
instead what is being described as ‘two steps’ is in reality 8 + hours of quests full of ‘find me if you can’ quest starters that are also full of pre-requirement’s in and of themselves.
.
If you are going to tout unlocking these added races …THEN REALLY UNLOCK THEM IN A MEANINGFUL WAY !!! … :rage: :rage: :rage: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

I thought they completely unlocked them? I got them all beforehand,so just going by what I read.

I think it’s more like
you unlock the ability to start the questline to start building a reputation to finally unlock the Void elves as a playable race…

after you do everything in between…

You forgot like a bajillion steps.

  1. boot up your computer
  2. log in to your acc
  3. open up battlenet
  4. click the wow button
  5. click launch.
  6. wait (literal timegate!) for the game to load to your character screen.
  7. select create new character
  8. spend 40 hrs playing with your void elves hair options
  9. spend 9001 hrs deciding on a name
  10. click accept.
  11. wait, yet ANOTHER timegate. for the game to load.
    there! now FINALLY you’re allowed to play a void elf. Hekkin blizz.

I wanted , as a Suprise to unlock the void elf on my husbands account … I did mine a year ago and had forgotten most of the steps…
had to start from scratch on his … and its not ‘just unlocked’ (such a misleading word!) the above post comes from spending all of Tuesday day and most of the evening just getting his toon through all the pre-requirements and he’s still two of the required quests short for the 'You Are Now Prepared!" achievement update required to get to the actual quest line to unlock the void elf .
…I just had to say publicly … "THIS IS BLIZZARDS IDEA OF ‘UNLOCKING’ THE REQUIRMENTS???

Never understood locking races behind content, just a terrible idea.

Still havent unlocked Vulpera though not much farther (I have to be extremely bored to pursue). Havn’t unlocked Kultiran either and cant fly in BFA zones (yet another boredom phase).

Queue Judas Priest ‘Grinder’ and play SL for now.

i did kt unlock WITH flight and it was the most annoying unlock by far. if you don’t have flight i imagine you’ll want to dig your eyes out because everything is 48759348753465 years from everything else. talk to person a. go across the entire map and talk to person b. then do this 384975938475934857394857394583465 times. without flight? :face_vomiting:

I’m confused. Talk to Khadgar, then go to Exodar, then go to Argus, do main questline, run scenario. I did this on a second account. It don’t think it took me 8 hours?

Sure, it’s more then two steps, though.

Lightforged and Velfs are the two easiest to unlock.

I still think at this point they should give everyone a quest at level 10 to go to the embassy, run the scenario and unlock the AR.

…It’s literally just to do the Argus campaign. It’s not that bad. There are guides all over about them.

Legion AR could be unlocked already. For new players starting in BFA, Legion AR are already in their factions. Makes no sense to have a new player level up then go back to Legion.

Is that, or give them the chance to start in Legion too if they want.

I still haven’t unlocked nightbourne. I doubt I’d ever make one anyway. It would probably get as far as this one if I did.

But they are allied races. Signed on to fight the war.

The war that is now over. They are now in the club. We have moved on. We now make god tier robots.

and yet this crap still stands…

In BFA the shills were going but but they are allied. see see! they ahve a special tab even.

Okay…for SL the allied tab is gone. they are on main race selection. Same as everyone else.

No, but really all “allied races” should just be fully unlocked anymore.

Its world of elf craft now. Any Allied race you choose to make next…good chance it will be some variation of an elf. Im an elf, person posting above me is an elf, person posting above them is an elf, person posting above that person is an elf, your an elf, good chance the person who posts beneath me will be an elf.

Just make an elf and you will be okay.

its all brain dead easy. i swear to god its like nobody wants to put any small amount of effort into wanting to unlock anything. :expressionless:
