I was there at the Blizzcon after they announced Garrosh would be taking over; the Blizzard devs (including Metzen) got a massive amount of hate during all of their panels, over it. (From Horde players; everyone hated Garrosh.)
That was when Blizzard started on their “we don’t care what Horde players think” trend, which continues to this day.
Yeah people that only play the Alliance just don’t realize this.

The Tauren and Trolls wouldn’t have been kicked out if they actually supported the Horde.
Garrosh was right for wanting to purge the Sin’dorei and Forsaken.
I suspect if Silvermoon becomes neutral, they will make Exodar neutral someday and use it as the quest hub for potentially on of the final expansion of WoW or at least make Last Titan.

Having everything be neutral apart from city walls is pointless. Thats factions for the sake of factions.
Should factions continue to exist, there should be a real and legitimate reason for the player to want to have characters on both.
All those swarms of Horde players demanding for years that they have access to Exodar will be thrilled.
You know we have an actual elf focused expansion? If they were to add the high elves. That would be the time to do so and not TWW.

Silvermoon is Silvermoon’s territory. If the Horde and Alliance want to come there to prostrate themselves before us, we’ll allow it.

I mean, you could hope. Maybe they’ll do that. But it feels like Blizz has said no in many ways and people just don’t accept it.
