The next Fresh/SOM2 will either have a token from the word “go” or we need a change in design philosophy:

  • Personal loot in dungeons and raids.
  • Riding skills no longer costs gold, but is gate kept behind attunement quest chain.

Gold will only be needed for leveling gear, crafted pre-raid bis gear, professions, mats, and consumables. Raiding will be self-contained and devoid of the words “GDKP LF pure buyer.”

Cheaters can’t be stopped unless your reduce/remove the necessity for gold and how it functions in the economy. Go back to bartering since it is a virtual economy.

Yeah, uhm… how about you just play Wrath or Retail, they provide most / all of this stuff.

Though bringing a Pathfinder-style riding unlock to seasonal would be … interesting.

How fun would it be if each class had a quest chain for a mount like warlock.

  • Druid - shapeshift 100% cheetah and race around moon glade.
  • Hunter - trap and tame a mount (still race specific)
  • Warrior - bronco ride taming of a mount
  • Rogue - steal a horse quest chain for the Defias Brotherhood.
  • Mage - temp spell: polymorph-horse a dungeon boss into a horse.
  • Shaman - defeat elements to unlock a shamanistic mount.
  • Priest - pray really really hard…idk. do an exorcism or something. haha
  • Warlock - done
  • Paladin - done

something fun that doesn’t involve just farming gold, buying gold, or gold gold gold gold.

I am 100% for this… I hate ML systems and no one wants to pay for riding.

it is not the same. fresh/SOM2 will have a massive bot problem just like classic and era do, unless we get a wow token, which is also very retail.

so pick your poison, change a few things about the game that would positively affect the game or changes that will negatively affect the economy with RMToken.

Personal loot would eliminate GDKP for sure, and we’d just have our “raiding with friends and for fun” again.

Bots are a player created problem. If people didn’t cheat and buy gold there wouldn’t be RMT or RMToken.
